Well, then, I must check out cw 2 of Danse.

I'll try to take some pics over the weekend. Here's a stock pic to stop you having to trawl though the entire AW20 thread.

I'd say it's a range of light earth-toned colours, predominantly green. I have most other greens already. My closest scarves colour wise are both my vintage Les Amazones. They are more painterly La Danse more graphic. There is also soft aqua and pink tones which is a bonus.

Apart from this being a good neutral cw for me, I think it will look nice with my Rouge H bag (Box leather) Gold and perhaps my Chocolate (Box and Swift). I'm not sure it will work with Bambou or Etain but you've reminded me to have a play.

@froufrou I'm just bopping in here and didn't you have a vivid yellow Modernisme Tropical? The Queen mother was floral and lace, extremely feminine but there's no way she would have worn this scarf. This is a wonderful scarf, I hope you own it. It's so modern and refreshing.

I have this in a bright olive, so almost.
I love the 60s vibe, and yes it’s very UnQueen Mum, hurray!

Who would like to answer: What is your scarf collecting philosophy (and has it changed much since March 2020 Covid restrictions)?
I am not a big collector compared to many here but I am shifting away from using my silk 90s to cashmere 140s. I bought a few silk 90s this seasons but I really haven’t been wearing them as I should. I plan to focus on 140s and wash silk going forward. I have been wearing my 140s regularly this fall and the wash silk is less formal.

I buy what I love and will wear. During Covid, it’s changed to ‘will wear eventually’. I know I will kick myself later if I don’t buy the scarves I’m in love with, but I mostly wear workout clothes now. I occasionally throw a scarf on but it’s still 80 degrees in October here. I also only buy new scarves, which keeps the chase in check.

I think my collecting shifted into overdrive with the lockdown. For both DH and me our physical offices have no plans to reopen until summer/fall 2021 and we are also homeschooling. With all travel outside of the US suspended for us, and even domestic travel curtailed to what we can drive to we are in Groundhog Day it feels. Love my family but it’s been a tough 7 months of sameness. I am new to buying H but have always loved the brand from afar. I spend my free hours researching, surfing resale sites, and making countless lists. These lists then somewhat inform my purchases, or if a too good to be true piece/price comes up I pounce on it. These purchases are somewhat comforting in these times as they represent a piece of beauty or art to me, and refocus me on days ahead where they will get worn outside and I’ll be happy to have made those purchases.

Omg this is the color that I've been looking for but I can't find it anywhere so I got the pink & green one instead.

It's the only one from this season I've bought to date, though not exactly exciting colour wise, I knew it would be the perfect neutral longterm.

I'd like to find the perfect CSGM and love the Plumes, for some reason I'm holding out.

I've been wearing scarves (nearly always 90s) every day since lockdown. They've been more on the 'goes with everything' variety. Since I've been in a teal/green/olive/purple mood so have my scarves. Modernisme Tropical in chartreuse, Jungle Love Rainbow in greens and a couple of others have hardly been off. I haven't even used my new Artisan scarf because it's too beautiful  Strangely haven't worn AW's Danse either - yet.

I bought a 1969 Ascot 1831 scarf most recently. I decided I needed to add to A) my horse-racing category (strong family connections) B) my neutral category (green's a neutral for me) and my C) 'bourgeois' category (which H is trying to move away from but has bubbling-up for sometime, remains to be seen if ever fashionable again). Sometimes I want a bl**dy silk scarf to actually look like a carre. I paid double what was asked since it was for charity and I think they weren't quite sure if it was authentic. If it had been a later version I would have paid a bit less, but it would have been quite mean to pay £x when I found out it was the original issue and in 100% perfect condition (apart from missing the label - but my grandmother used to take those off, women then hated the label showing (different story now of course)).

Now I need an On Epsom Downs 1836, shame there's no Aintree (Grand National) scarf too. I have plenty of racing scarves so no hurry (tattersall, Grande Tenue). I really can't be asked to chase things which is probably why I haven't already got it.

This is great. I get the "bourgeois" category - I have something I call a "lady look," which is occasionally appropriate.
You just reminded me that I haven't worn my Artisan yet either.
Like @Foxy trini and @hannahsophia, I'm thinking ahead to "normal life" and buying "as if," but it's difficult.

I know what you mean by bourgeois - but I have never used that term myself. I use the terms royaliste or Ancien Regime - literally the old monarchy in France. To me Hermes is always BCBG not bourgeois .. bon chic bon genre ... translates sort of as posh ... but I am a dinosaur ...

There were some Grand National special issues ... regular designs inscribed Grand National

You're right, I was sending up those that don't like the look.
