I heard that LV in the future was planning on having the date code on the inside or internally on their items, where you can visually see them. So I'm not too surprised that you don't have a date code.

I understand how the OP feels. I would be disappointed to not get a date code too. It is like not getting the made in label inside the purse. Many people on this forum want that made in France tag. It is what a lot of LV lovers expect to see inside their bag. Most people buying the bags on resell sites know about the date code in my experience. There is a lot of information on it on the internet for authentication purposes. I am sure others can relate that it is scary to get a buyer that is paranoid the bag is fake and wants to buy or buys your bag. It can bring unnecessary selling drama. I guess some of you guys got buyers that did not question authenticity and needed to see the date code and made in tag. That's awesome! Having what most buyers want to see for authentication purposes makes it easier to sell the bag once again in my experience and what I have seen on this forum. I think the everyday person that does not know about the date code most likely does not have an interest in buying luxury bags, especially on resell sites. I am sending positive energy the OP's way that the right buyer will find her bag. I am sure some of the information shared on this thread will be helpful. More people will know that not all LV bags come with a date code thanks to this thread. :smile1:

I bought my speedy b 35 in January. I was thinking of selling it and decided to take some pictures. I realized that I couldn't seem to find a date code and called the boutique I bought it at the next day. They told me they couldn't help me find it over the phone but could help me if I brought it in. I brought it in and they couldn't find it and said oh well it probably doesn't have one then. Then they made it seem like it's my problem that I want to sell it.

I called the hotline and got the same response. I'm worried that if I do try to sell it that I will get some pushback especially since I usually go through yoogis or fashionphile and they don't ask for receipts as proof of purchase. Am I wrong to be upset about this? I have been a customer for 6 years now and have spent in the five digits with this company. I am not thrilled at the lack of customer support and this turns me off of buying lv anymore. Do any of you have recently purchased pieces with no date code?

I think you should be fine. I bought a noir magnetique zcp from my boutique and it doesn't have a date code. I have the original receipt and dustbag if anything.

Very quick look on my Alma BB Epi (bought in Paris April 2016) have a date code tag. Sarah walllet retiro (same purchased with my Alma) no stamp or tag for date code. Maybe new items no longer have a date code?
As long we purchase on LV store and if wanna re-sell we can attached our receipt or we lost it then ask the store to print it or send e-receipt for our proof of purchased.
Oh my key cley in monogram have stamp code. Curious also will check my other LV item tomorrow.

Ah I'm sorry, I only have the oval one.. I never checked to see where mine is.
It's weird because I was freaking out about my mc cosmetic pouch not having a date code, I purchased it at the boutique but I searched and searched but it was an invisible heat stamp, no font color. (if that makes sense). I'll check to see where mine is on my key holder.

I have the 6 key holder and the date stamp is on the bottom under the flap where you can put cards (on the back, not on the flap itself). It is really hard to see without a light as mine is embossed in gold (I have it in fuschia).

I purchased a monogram canvas Sarah wallet directly from the LV boutique in September 2016. I can't seem to find the date code on my Sarah wallet. After doing some research on TPF, I checked the following areas, but I am still unable to find the date code: 1) the front card slot second up on the right side, along the right side seam, 2) the back slip pocket inside the wallet, around the right side seam. Does anyone know if it is now normal occurrence to not have date codes for the new LV items?
