Just purchased a Favorite MM directly from the store without a date code. I only noticed when I got home. Called CS and was told that date codes are not on all of their items and that it is solely for manufacturing purposes. If it wasn’t so hard to track a Favorite down, I would return it because I highly doubt I’ll be able to resell if I ever decide to.

Yup and by looking at this thread, it doesn’t seem like a very common problem. Weird for sure, not sure what to think of it. Do you think I should have it authenticated?
Hello, does buying a vintage bag with a rubbed off (missing) date code prevent you from getting a replacement strap or repair? I have only repaired items i personally bought at a boutique but this would be a purchase on eBay from a Japanese reseller. The bag has the date code rubbed off however it 100% authentic in very good condition so i'm just wondering how it works. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hi all, I am looking at a vintage trousse 28 from a seller in japan and they are telling me that the usual 3 number date code is missing from the pocket even though they are sure it is authentic.
But this has the “LV” zipper pull which they produced after the “eclair” zipper pulls and I’ve seen trousse 28s with the eclair zipper pulls with the date code inside.
What do you guys think?

I recently bought a Neverfull MM in Damier Ebene (July 2020) and just realized that there is no date code. I’ve looked everywhere but am unable to find it. I want to say it was on the pouch, but I sold that so I have no way of checking. Ordered this bag online from the LV website, i’m just having thoughts of it being a counterfeit and got mixed in somewhere

it should be underneath the zipped compartment in the top corner...i had to pull the pocket out and flip it over to find it
Can anyone tell me why this bag would say malletier instead of “made in France”? I’ve never seen a Noe that says malletier. This is a Noe I bought from eBay.

It means trunk maker. They did use that stamp on the Noé in the 80s.
