I didn't seem to be able to get any results after buffing, and I only used the protection step on my brand new vachetta. Was I supposed to condition it too? My vachetta color changed slightly after applying the protection, did this happen to y'all? I know for sure I over did it on one of my Speedy handles. Whoops.

I'm going to watch that YouTube video this weekend, thanks for the tip!

I used the protection and followed up with the conditioner a day later.....initially it was darker but once it dried it looked great...maybe slightly darker, but not by much.

Okay, yeah, mine is slightly darker. Like, you could notice in the pic with my Key Bell that you saw in the other thread. Speedy is less than a month old, but treated. Key Bell is brand new as of today. And you can see a color variation. It's almost like a darker cream color of the vachetta or something. I'm not going to stress about it. Maybe I'll apply the conditioner this weekend.

I only used the protector and buff it a little after it dries. My vachetta seems fine, no discoloration or darkening after application. But when i used the protector i tried to apply it as lightly as possible.

I treated 3 new bags with vachetta 1st protector then conditioner and they dried so quick and no color change once dried. The video did help. I'm sure you did just fine :)

they just came out with the new product which needs to be applied before the protection in order for the vachetta not to change color. I can post the link if you like.

WHAT! Of course they do right after I use it! Thanks for the heads up. You're talking about the "All Leather Pre-Treatment," right? ugh.

Thanks, it's a little darker, but it's okay. One of my Speedy handles got too much and now it's wrinkly. :'( I'll post a pic so everyone can cry with me.

Yeah, I was doing it lightly, but then went a little overboard. That was my downfall.

Here are my handles. Top pic = too much LMB. :'( At least it's the underside, so it's not noticeable. Live and learn!

From the pictures, it doesn't show much of a difference with the darkening of the vachetta. Seems fine to me! But is it that noticeable in reality? I can see the 1st handle seems more wrinkly than the 2nd picture. But, i think it's just fine esp you mention it's at the underdside part of the handle anyway! Thank you for ther pictures dear! :)
Don't feel bad! Atleast you know your bag is protected from stains and water marks. :hugs:

It could be that that handle was wrinkly before the treatmet, but when it is a light color it's hard to notice? Do not worry, it looks fine.
