Totally forgot we got a lizard thread! Definitely seems like they have been sending out more lizard this year. I know offer thread has others sharing full lizard bags in Noir and Bleu Saphir (also maybe others but those are what I remember for sure) as well. The latter color I’ve seen a Kelly Danse (sadly not mine). I also know that the USD price is currently 18,000 for the Mini Kelly and 17,500 for the Danse

I'm not sure if I am posting in the right thread, so please redirect this if I missed it! I was looking for a thread on caring for lizard. It looks like I'll be receiving an exotic push offer shortly, either in lizard / matt alligator / matt croc. I wanted to ask how high maintenance is lizard, how does one take care of it? Does it need to stay away from rain or heat? My SA said it doesn't require any leather conditioning and another SA told me it's very easy to care for.

It doesn't require any extra special care really except for the knowledge that Ombré Lizard in particular is going to yellow. There isn't much anyone can do to retard (I do mean slow it down) or prevent this and it has been confirmed by owners, including myself, as well as After Sales in Paris. I am also told it cannot be repaired.

It is only Ombré that discolors yellow? What about jewel tone lizard?

It’s more about the color - anything white / very light will darken / yellow (exacerbated if not stored & cared for properly and carefully).

For some reason it’s extra quick and obvious for ombré lizard but this does happen with other leathers too to some extent over time and use.

Going slightly off topic, colours like Poussiere, Beton, GT etc and other lighter Crocs will yellow. It's been noted by quite a few friends of mine including one who got a B25 SO < 2 years ago and she's very careful with her bags. I bought my Ombré knowing this was going to happen and I tend to baby all my things, irregardless of brand.

Does anyone have any experience getting c18 in lizard from local boutiques? How easy / difficult is it to care for black lizard skin? And how difficult is it to get - prespend, rarity, etc. appreciate if you can share you experience ^^
