Hi guys - I fell in love with this Lanvin on NM last year, but couldn't justify the price on this bag $2000+. I'm seeing one that is advertised as NWT on ebay, but I'm not a Lanvin expert and was wondering if someone could verify this is authentic? At first glance, it looks legit. I'm also unfamiliar with asking Bloomie's/NM SA's (saw it online only), does anyone know how I would go about this? Thanks!

This is the bag from last year:

The one on ebay now:

Look's quite authentic. :-)

Hey Everyone! I had a question for those with the Lanvin Happy Bag. I just got one for a great deal at NM that was vegetable-dyed pink in calfskin leather, It's a pretty bag, but I noticed variation in the color throughout the bag and wasn't sure if this is how the bags are suppose to look. Any input would be appreciated.

Is that the quilted pink one? I haven't seen that one irl yet. But I own a few happys and all of the leathers are a little different. It would be helpful if you could post a picture of the color variation.

Sometimes the sale bags end up a bit damaged. I have the burgundy quilted calfskin one which I've only used a few times but I can tell that leather is a bit delicate and won't stand up to tough wear without some color rub variations. If you bought it online, did they wrap the chains in bubble wrap or tissue to prevent marks/rubbing on the leather? Could that be the cause of the variations you are seeing?

Also just a note to those asking about authentication. There is a thread posted from a few years ago where one tpfer posted a fake Lanvin purchased on ebay. With the help of other tpf members they sorted out the discrepancies in the coin and various other aspects of the bag. I don't even think it was a happy or one of the more popular styles. So, they do fake Lanvin too. As always, buyer beware.

If its the rose pink happy then i ordered the same one. Mine should be here tomorrow so i can tell you if mine has the same variations or not. :)

It is a great bag and I am still on the fence about keeping it. It is vegetable-dyed so I wonder if it will fade with time. The color is beautiful and the bag is light and fits a lot. My biggest beef is that it is missing the medallion and so NM is looking into it.

REVEAL!

I'm excited to share my newest addition: a Lanvin Happy Bag in grained leather in Beige! I just couldn't resist the pale blush pink color! Although I'm really happy with the bag, I am still a little apprehensive about color transfer and such since it is a light blush pink bag; do you ladies have any suggestions on how to best protect a Lanvin bag? Also, are Lanvin bags really prone to scratches and leather wear-and-tear? All that aside, I love her and I can't wait to use her! Thanks for letting me share! :D

*Sorry for the bad quality and strange color of the photos... I posted the "website" picture of the bag along with mine so you all can see the real color but the lighting in the pictures are terrible; I took them with my iPhone. Sorry!

Hi, I know that it's not the right place to post question about authentication but it seems that the Lanvin authenticate thread is not very active anymore. I hope someone would help me on this. I recently acquired this clutch which has everything i want: red color, bakelite looking turn lock closure, grainy leather. All details seem okay to me, but the coin is kinda off, and the smell of the bag is just weird - I just started to buy Lanvin since last year and I am not familiar with the older collections. Could someone please tell me if the bag is real?
Thank you very much in advance :smile1:

I've uploaded the photos here.

Hi Ladies! I haven't posted in a while, but I was about to list my Lanvin Happy MM on eBay (which I wanted forever) and I saw your thread. I got completely sidetracked and started remembering why I fell in love with Lanvin bags and YOU made me change my mind. I'm going to rock my Happy tomorrow!!

Can anyone help me out? How do I have my bag verified as authentic or false by Lanvin?? It was purchased as a gift for me via an online website and someone that wanted to buy it from me says that she for some reason thinks it's fake! I never for a second thought that it was - it has all of the tags, thick leather, and thick lining! I'm so perplexed! If anyone can give me some advice on having it verified please do.

Thank you!!!

I'm thinking of buying a LANVIN bag but haven't heard much about their quality or durability. I'm looking for any input...please:D

I'm considering this pretty one for Spring/Summer

That is REALLY pretty!! I've tried that style in a dark color way and it's very nicely appointed. I do love Lanvin (I have an Amalia), but they are pricey and if you change your mind in the future - I'm not sure they hold their value as well as some other brands.

Thanks so much for your input, there's not much info here about Lanvin. How is your bag holding up?
