To be honest, I'd never think to buy a Lanvin everyday handbag. Perhaps an evening bag, but that's it. Although I am willing to remain open-minded when it comes to bags!

Probably a good call - the Amalia is GORGEOUS, but very high maintenance as the lambskin is super soft, and the cabas tote I got has become rather saggy from toting all my work items (purse, makeup, water, files, kindle, brolly + spare shoes).

I've gone back to using my trusty old Longchamp and Mulberry for work now.

I am admiring Lanvin bags more and more and I am about to order my first Lanvin bag in a few days. It will be an Amalia Tote for sure. The bag looks so classy and sophisticated. Can't wait. :woot::presents

I'm really happy with mine, you won't regret it! I'm so addicted to Lanvin now I even got this!

It is lovely, but I'm the same as you - I need a beautiful but practical bag. Boo!!

Which Mulberry do you use for work? I can't stand using my Alexa everyday (when going to work), I find the postman lock to be so fiddly!!

Ah yes... I saw it on the Lanvin page as well :woohoo:
Lanvin has quite some cool accessoires. I also like the books, pens and umbrella. After having ordered the bag I will definitely consider ordering some nice accessoires as well. :graucho::p

I saw this bag at barney today. it has a zipped compartment which You can put laptop or ipad in it. Very nice organized purse. I have tried it on and very comfortable on shoulder with thick jacket.

But I have never owned any Lanvin Lambskin bag. Anyone has good/bad experience with the lambskin leather on Amalia bag? It feels sooo soft....

I use the Bayswater - mine is tan and goes with everything! I do wish they brought up the shoulder straps sooner though, so that I can use it like a satchel, but oh well. I just noticed today that the shape is also very much like a birkin, heh.

Another bag I really like that can really take on hard knocks is the Cambridge Satchel Company (http://www.cambridgesatchel.co.uk/shop), I buy these for my teenage nephew and nieces. My boss has had one for years and it's still going strong. Affordable, too!

I saw the Lanvin Notebook for £10 in the Harrods sale, I got 5 for emergency presents, what's not to like? #win!

Hehe.

This is probably better and won't sag as much as there's reinforcement around the bag so it holds it's structure better. Nice improvement to the previous styles :)

I saw the pen too, but ridicilously expensive for a pen? Better get the Marc Jacobs lipstick pen for £3!

Hi,
welcome to Lanvin handbag world :smile1: I own Amalia and Happy (both in medium size, both are made from lambskin). The leather is gorgeous - soo soft and nice to touch! And it keeps well (I was really surprised because I was pretty sure it should scratch easy, but in fact it isn't) For refernce - Happy is about 1 year old, Amalia is about 6 months...Hope this helps:smile1:

a recent purchase from the lanvin boutique in paris - teal quilted happy! the lovely SA (who was very patient and offered wonderful service) said this teal color is exclusive to europe. i've only seen this style quilted happy in black, mastic, and cream colors for sale in the U.S., and always thought 'if this comes out in a pop color, i'm all over it!!' ... and voila!

second pic is my lanvin happy collection; teal quilted with her sister pony-hair leopard happy.
i'm loving your happy color!.. congrats
