Does anyone know how many versions of the Lanvin medallions they have (pictures if you got 'em)?

Seems like they have 3:

1) gold outer ring with a silver coin in the middle (first generation? the best-looking one IMO)

2) outer ring and inner coin both cast in bronze (?).

3) finished with a lacquer/enamel (?) in the same colour as the bag it's attached to (latest version of the medallion?). The "mother-daughter" and "JL" logos are printed/painted on, as opposed to being moulded out of the metal.

just out curiosty why isnt there a sub-forum for lanvin?
i think there should be one in TPF!

YES, indeed. There are more and more Lanvin Lovers out there. :yahoo::woot::hbeat:
Just ordered my Amalia Lambskin Tote.:yes:

because there's not enough activity related to Lanvin -- I remember when we were trying to get an Alexander Wang and a Michael Kors sub-forum. Seemed like it took forever. But there were also tons of threads about the designers with constant activity.

That's the only way they'll create a sub-forum -- the activity has to almost overtake the Bags, Bags, Bags sub-forum!

If we want a Lanvin forum, we'll have to start creating a bunch of threads and make sure there's constant activity to them

I think there are a LOT of Lanvin fans out there. This thread is just so hard to find sometimes, I forget that it's here (without doing the search for it). I consulted the thread when buying my first Lanvin bag and have gotten quite a few more bags since, and moved on to jewelry. It would be nice if more people posted in this thread. But I doubt many people even know it's here...:shucks:.

Maybe if some Lanvin employee wanted to post regulary the new Lanvin products, that would help keep the discussion alive.:graucho:

I think there would be more activity if it was easier to access.

There are these three (I've seen bags for sale with each of these styles, even recently--don't know if they are carryovers). And if I remember correctly there was an earlier one that looked more like a punched-out medallion instead of a coin in a frame.

Here's 2 pics for now. I will take in action pictures tomorrow :)

Beautiful bag!

OK, then let's start creating sub-forums for each Lanvin Bag Type.
As stated in one of my previous posts I think the community of Lanvin Bag Lovers is growing constantly. ;)

Congratulations on the Amalia tote, it's lovely. Starting a new thread for each Lanvin bag is a great idea.

We have to be more persistent
And we should post comments more often :goodpost:
