the Navy Leopard can still be purchased from Lanvin :yahoo: -- the website now says "your item will be shipped in 10 business days" -- I need one more week before I have the rest of the $$ saved -- I hope -- HOPE!!! -- it's still available then. That would be the most perfect bag!!

I really love the Taupe Leopard, but I have a MAJOR weakness for blue bags -- as much as I love the quilted navy, I love the leather on the leopard much more -- the Navy Leopard is the PERFECT solution -- keep your fingers crossed for me!!! :sweatdrop::push::sweatdrop:

hgbagsonline now has lanvin! i just bought a black amalia tote!

Question on the amalia tote, what is the main difference between the calfskin version and the lambskin version? there seems to be a few hundred dollar price difference.

Congrats hannahsophia! Not sure about the differences, but I have the lambskin Amalia tote and it is super buttery and soft, perhaps the calfskin is slightly stiffer???

I just got Leopard happy.

iluvmybags - I think navy quilted is more classic. But i love leopard. ;-)

:nuts::drool::drool::nuts:

your bag is beautiful Candy!!! Is that the ponyhair Happy?
I'd love to see a few more pics!! :flowers:

I'm new to Lanvin and I've really enjoyed reading through this thread, learning more about the brand and seeing all of the pictures of the beautiful bags. Keep them coming!

iluvmybags - If you're being drawn towards the animal print then I would get the blue rather than the taupe. I love animal prints, but they do go in and out of style in my opinion, so I think the blue one would be more timeless because you get the same effect without it being so obvious.

I'm also having a dilemma in choosing which Happy to get. I'm primarily buying it to be used as an evening bag - not for formal occassions, but for dressy occassions. Which do you think is dressier? I think I'm drawn to the quilted one because it looks more like a Chanel, which I'm unwilling to spend the money on due to their ridiculous price increases and from what I hear, declining quality. But the python is beautiful too...

I would love to hear what everyone thinks. TIA!!

Chriseve - Belated congratulations on your quilted Happy. I loovvee the color! In an earlier post you mentioned that the quilted Happy (the one you exchanged) seemed to scratch easily. How is your new one holding up? Does the leather seem more delicate than the smooth leather Happy?

swezfamily it's hard call...the python one is really beautiful and definitely it's a "dressy" -evening bag, but...i have a thing for the quilted one...altought black wouldn't be my choice, it's an amazing bag, and, even if you're looking specifically for an evening bag, the quilted to me seems more versatile and way more easy to go with everything from 8 am to 11pm..
so...i'm for the quilted one :D

Chriseve, I have a dilemma and since you have 3 of my favorite bags of all times let me ask you this:
I'm in the fence between a Chanel bag and a Lanvin Happy. I see you posted pics of all of them. The Lanvin seems to be very well priced and size wise similar to the Chanel m/l and Jumbo but I don't know as far as quality and investment in the long run...
What are you're thoughts?? There is quite a price difference and I am a Chanel lover but lately with the price increases it's fairly hard to keep up...

Saw this pic on one of MY favorite bloggers blogger list.. lol Sorry i dont remember the name. I fancy this bag but I'm not sure of the style or if you can even still buy it.. lovely bag!

Thanks for the advice SF!! I do believe I've made up mind on the Navy Leopard and hope to order it this weekend (I just have to keep my fingers crossed that it doesn't disappear before Sat -- the soonest I can order it!)

of the two bags you're considering, I prefer the quilted -- while the python is beautiful and elegant and definitely dressy, I just think the quilted is more special. everything about the bag is perfect. You could also use the quilted more casually if you discover that you love the bag enough to want to use it every day, while the python you might be a little more reserved about using
