Silverfern - I love your new Happy!! I have the wrinkled Amalia and would love a bag in the same leather in black too. The color of mine is a little delicate. The leather is just amazing. Did you find your bag new somewhere? Here's mine:

I just got this Lanvin denim bag last week. I really like it, it's kind of casual cute. I have never read very good reviews on this bag, but it works for me :D.

A big thanks iluvmybags, danae, alisonanna and nycmom :flowers:

alisonanna I really like the casual feel of your denim bag - I'm actually considering a similar style myself but in leather. Another poster on this thread has one too:

My Happy was a lucky find from a lovely someone who knows I adore Lanvin. I have to agree with you that the leather on these lambskin bags is so amazingly buttery and soft

Love the Ketu, that is on my radar.

Hey Alisonanna, have always been interested in the style Amalia that you have. Doesn't it come in PM and GM? What size is yours? Would you say it holds as much as the MM Happy? TIA

Longchamp - my Amalia is the MM - 9 x 15 x 3.5. It fits a great amount, a perfect size. I tend to steer away from EW bags, I don't usually like how they look on me, but this one is perfect.

Barneys shows the Happy's size is 10 x 11.5 x 3.5 - I don't remember how to figure out volume, but I think it works out to about the same size as the Amalia with different proportions :thinkin:.

silverfern - I really like that bag in leather. I bought a similar one last season, but the strap attachments were on the sides of the bag and it folded up like a fortune cookie when it was full, it looks like they've made the design just right now .

I'm so close to my Happy Bag!! I had thought I had decided on the Leopard (versus the Quilted Navy), but the Navy Leopard still teases my brain! According to Lanvin's website, it's not "immediately available" - I wonder if that means that if you wanted one, they could get one from overseas maybe? I'm going to have to call again and inquire about that color

What I wonder is this: which do you think is more "classic" and/or timeless? The Taupe Leopard, Navy Leopard or Navy Quilted? Common sense (for me anyway!) originally made me think the Quilted Navy would be the most timeless one to go with, but more than one person has told me that they believe Leopard is just as timeless and classic as the Quilted. Do you think the Navy Leopard would be just as timeless as the taupe?

Here are pics of the three to help you decide -- TIA! :flowers::heart:

^^
I like all of them but I especially like the leopards, either taupe or navy. Actually I love the leopards!!:graucho:

I think the leopard is kind of cooler or edgier than the quilted and I prefer that because it works for me. I think the leopard looks great worn dressed up or worn down with jeans and khakis. The quilted is a touch more ladylike.

And the navy leopard is more unusual than the taupe but it really depends on your wardrobe and whether you want a contrast bag or a tonal bag.

IMHO if you buy any one of these three you'll be the owner of a fabulous new bag. Good luck!!

The quality is very good and i am so happy to see this one.Even though it is smaller but i really appreciate about what you did in it has a big impact for me.The shape is great, and i also love the color in background.

I was thinking of buying this lanvin as a back up to a Valentino daphne satchel that I fell in love with a Nordstrom. Do you use yours as an everyday bag? If so, how is it holding up? I was a bit concerned about the chained handles not breaking, as well as the ease of use. Also, because it doesn't have feet, I worried that it would get scratched up alot for someone who is hard on their bags. Can you provide an update?

Thank you chriseve :flowers:

Beautiful Happy candyflower!

iluvmybags - my vote for timeless and classic goes to the Quilted Navy. Personally I just can't pull off the leopard print but if that's what's calling out to you, you should go for it!

mileysmuse - I've got 2 Happys and while I don't use them every day they do seem to be holding up well. The lambskin one is really soft but doesn't seem to scuff or scratch but my other one is laser cut leather which is a far more delicate finish. With that one I have to be careful about the corners. They are beautifully made though and I think can withstand daily wear pretty well. HTH :)

If you haven't seen the navy leopard in person, I urge you to because it's actually quite subtle. I bought the flats first - the leopard is almost indiscernible. It's more visible on the bag due to the wider expanse but still not in your face. In terms of what's more classic, not sure but definitely love mine.
