If you're 5 feet, you can definitely wear it as a messenger, I'm 5'6" and I can wear it crossbody, though it hits my torso and not on my hip as it probably would for you:-) Also, I just asked my NM SA, you can definitely use your NM credit card on BG purchases!:D

And I just got it. It looks fine BUT the leather is very thin, shiny and waxy, is this how its suppose to be? And the bag/harware super light?

Is your this way? Are you concerned about authentcity? I have never seen a Happy in person so I don't know how to compare!! Your expertise would be very much appreciated!! THANKS!

I purchased this bag BN from Barney's and was really disappointed w/ the quality so sent it right back. The marine bag I bought didn't have the same "cheap" leather texture and thin material so I kept it.

I think the bag is authentic, it's the bag IMO.

The leather on mine is buttery and not waxy at all. I would say for calf leather, it's not the thinnest I've seen on a bag, but it's not thick/heavy like the older MJs(don't own any new ones, so can't say in case they've changed their leather). The bag is lightweight which I like. While the hardware is not super heavy, it certainly is not unnoticeable on the shoulder. I'm no Lanvin expert so I can't comment on the consistency, but I have seen in other brands such as bals where one bag's leather (and sometimes even color) vary greatly from another. My SA took some time to pick out the right one for me after I complained about the stitching on the first one I received, outside of stitching, I can't remember the first one I got and the one I currently have differ in the thickness or the softness of the leather.

hulala--authentic based on the pics, congrats and enjoy your bag, perhaps the leather on your bag will get better and softer with time!

Can I ask for your opinions..? I just saw the large Happy bag today in Black and loved it...I bought a Chanel Jumbo in Black caviar a few weeks ago..Do you think these are too similar or two different beasts..!!??Does the large come in a chocolate brown..?Thank you for any input..!
