Thank you Look closer at where the up 'arrow' meets with the down 'arrow', it's off center, it doesn't seem nearly as obvious as they were in person, otherwise I would have just kept it. The leather is very soft and light, I know what you mean by the 'stiffness' on the Amalia with regarding to its coating. I don't think this Happy has any coating because of how the leather feels, however, if it did have any coating, it might have just been to prevent soiling easily but not necessarily scratches. I found a small tonal scratch on the inside of the flap, fairly common on calf or lambskins. I'll get to inspect it more closely when I get the replacement bag and will report back!

chriseve - the bag is so beautiful, I hope that the next one works out better. I don't see where it doesn't match, but that would drive me crazy too. So is the leather really soft or does it have a little coating? My green Amalia tote has a little bit of stiffness to it compared to many of them, just a different treatment.
I really think that they "hit the ball out of the park" with this Happy design.

angelthelson: i just got my metallic amalia tote and its really not that heavy. much lighter than i thought it would be. i love it so much i ordered it in black and dusty rose and im going to choose between the two and definitely keep the metallic silver.

The 2nd Happy sent to me was a keeper and I finally have some time to take a few pics of this one--I've been quite obsessed with it. The color works really well with my skin tone and wardrobe, definitely more brown than taupe. Here are some pics of the details, and how the color shows under different lighting. Sometimes the brown's like dark chocolate, sometimes it's milk chocolate, and other times it's got a nice hue of grey in it, and other times more taupey
