Any particular name for this treatment so I would know what to ask the dermatologist.
My dermatologist calls it a Laser Photofacial.

Just an update on laser surgery under my eye. I did this today. The doctor removed the red veins under my eye and a red bump near my nose. It took about five minutes. It did hurt! Like needles pricking you. And now, the area is very purple and stings. The swelling should go down by tomorrow night, I hope! I can't wait to see the results.
I'm going back next month for a whole face laser treatment to get rid of little, itty bitty veins and sun spots.

I had IPL - Impulse Light Therapy which is a form of Photofacial but no laser. Its only as good as the person who does it & if you can, insist that the doctor do it.
There are so many machines out there now its hard to keep up.
i really want to get this done because i have a bunch of little ones on my face from being in the sun too long. are there any scars from the laser surgery? also does anybody have recommendations for nyc dermatologists that conduct this? thanks!
Mine haven't come back and it's been a year. I hope they don't, but if they do, I'd repeat the treatment.I want to revive this thread! I have age spots that I would love to remove. I think I read somewhere in beautysnob that even if you have it removed, it comes back? I would love to hear people's recent experience with respect to removal of age spots, particularly with IPL!

I do use tons of sunscreen now and also Revale face cream once a day. It's made from coffee berries (beans?) and it supposedly helps fade sun spots.
