No, they don't need the card at all. Proof of purchase will suffice, and they can actually find the exact purchase using the client's phone number or email. And even if there is no proof of purchase, they can send pictures of the bag to the repair center and they can assess the bag.

Can I ask what people think of the older model medium Lady Dior bags with the zip instead of the flap opening? Is the zip really uncomfortable/stiff/difficult to use? I have seen some beautiful preloved medium ones but they’re all older, and I worry that the zip will “skin” my hand whenever I reach inside for things!

Hi everyone, I need your advice. I am interested in buying a Lady Dior bag. However, I cannot decide between the Mini and Small size. I love that the Micro and Mini size has the flat feet. I dislike that the Small size has the pointy/spike feet. I worry that the Small size will easily tip over. I love the leather bag strap on the Small, but I hate the chain bag strap offered in the Mini. I have seen the Mini bags with leather straps on the resale market. Why so much variation? Is the chain bag strap a seasonal thing? Should I wait for them to release the Mini with the leather strap? Also, I worry about the gold hardware fading with time so I am considering the matte black hardware. How does the matte black hardware age with time? Thank you so much for your help!

The mini Lady Dior used to only come with the leather strap, and then the chain strap was introduced. It was so popular that the majority of mini Lady Dior bags come with the chain strap now. You can actually buy the older version through consignment/vintage bag sites.

Gold hardware may scratch to show a silvertone metal underneath (it doesn't just fade on its own), but Dior can replace the hardware for a fee if it looks too scratched. If you prefer the look of gold hardware, then get that instead. The matte black hardware is much hardier than other black-finish hardware in the market, but the finish can still chip if you impact or abrade the hardware with force. Dior can also replace that hardware now that it is a permanent hardware choice.

I just got a preloved medium with the zippers. I find it harder to play Tetris with my things (can’t see inside and can’t move my hand inside a lot), so I feel like I am not able to maximize the space easily.

I don’t have a problem with my hand getting scratched by the zipper. It is not too sharp or blunt.

Despite the difficulty with getting stuff in and out, I like the fact that my things are more secure and the added leather will help keep the structure of the bag.

Thanks!! I ended up biting the bullet a few weeks ago and just buying the medium in black lambskin with silver hardware, with the old zip <3 the lambskin definitely makes it easier since the zip area is quite soft and easy to get into, but the patent probably is stiffer and harder to get in and out of. I do worry though that I stretch the bag every time I try to open the zip compartment wide enough to look inside.

Both of the medium Lady Diors, zip or flap, are a little hard to access.

Hi I absolutely love love the mini with chain strap and have 4 of them. I love that the chain has sparkle and when hand carried is like piece of jewelry. So far no issues with the chains fading whatsoever.

Congratulations! For the leather, avoid using lotions on the leather (or even on your hands) as lotion and grease will make the matte finish on the leather look shiny in certain areas.
