Ouch Hchicuk dont be to judgmental, I have met the most beautiful people who are very intelligent with great personality's that are broke. and some may regard as not being physically attractive. and some maybe a little overweight. but still beautiful

Just walk past them and don't give it another thought its no big deal

Elegantly said, ardneish! And, yes, ignore, ignore, ignore is always the best policy.

Very refreshing to hear the good stories, I love them as well. I can't wait to have one of those...lol. as I said where I live noone even does a double take. In a way its good I don't have to worry about it getting stolen.

I think he is a man, and they do not think like women, and I know I have in the past expected my X boyfriends to think like a female, and they genetically can't because they are male with a little Hypothalamus. as I politely pointed out to the last BF.
But I think this chap was just a friend, so no big deal just brush it of I say.

I get snide remarks from SAs who sell LV and BV when I shop those boutiques carrying anything Hermes (scarf, jewelry, bag, shoes, etc). Too bad your friend has poor impulse control and blurted out such moronic statements. I think you need a better class of friends to go with your beautiful covetted bag. I hope you didn't take his comments personally- as they say, consider the source. Interesting that he is acutely aware of the cost of Hermes.... sounds like a case of a wannabe to me.

Gosh, and all this time, I wasn't sure that they had one at all, or at least one in working order! :p

I get mean looks, but that's all. I get mean looks anyway (with or without branded goods) because women can be mean and catty.
So do I....but who cares... :supacool:

I would have left that 'friend' right at the table running his mouth. I could never sit around anyone like that. I hope lilyhermes lets him know how rude he was being.

Lily, I loved the story about the flight attendant - thanks for telling us that, it gave me faith again in the human race that people really can be nice. You were nice to her, and she was nice to you :smile1:

I loved the flight attendant story as well. Honestly, if I ever spot a B and if it is appropriate I try to say something to the owner like "that's a beautiful birkin you have there" Most of the time they reply with a smile and a quick "thank you"

Glad that you enjoyed it, shelbs, and believe me, I'm always extremely nice to flight attendants. They have a pretty thankless job and encounter some really nasty individuals!

And, I've found if you're nice to someone, it's very difficult for most of them to be other than nice back.

That's lovely of you, avedashiva, and I'm sure that it's appreciated.

Well put everybody...and thanks for your support. I mean I guess when I go outside wearing my mink I expect to get harrassed, have eye rolls, and hear teeth sucking. But over a bag REALLY?...its not like the Birkin is made from mink...geesh!!!!
And I'm not letting my friends comment get to me about the bag, I realize sometimes when people are uncomfortable they just don't know what to say, I know my friend pretty well...I'm sure he has never been within 2 inches let alone 2 feet of a real live birkin (oh and it still has the NEW SMELL)...he has verbal diarrea, (no edit button...doesn't think before opening mouth and inserting foot!!!)..and I'm pretty sure the spritzers didn't help.
