Hi Ladies! Love all your Kelly wallets!! I think I NEED one haha! But should I but it in Epsom or Chèvre leather?! I want a bright color but I want it to be somewhat durable! I am careful with my purses but I don't want to have to baby it either?!

I've tracked responses on this theme and it's pretty split: like colours of the rainbow, you've got your spectrum of preferences. There are those that:
- Love chèvre, will only buy chèvre, and really wish Hermès would discontinue Epsom altogether to save it marring the brand;
- love chèvre for everything else except for SLGs, especially wallets, and prefer Epsom over chèvre because it's thick, stamped, sturdy, and wears like iron;
- love Epsom;
- will take whatever they can get because their not fussed either way and/or their colour/HW/style preferences/availability is much stronger than the leather preference.

So it's really what you're most comfortable with, as it's a big investment!

For me, whilst I love chèvre, I was more than happy with the Epsom Kelly wallet I have. It's over 2 years old and looks brand new and I've used it practically every day. I would not trade it for a chèvre version either knowing now how well the Epsom holds up.

Agreed on the assessment and findings. I haven't bought many wallets and would love to buy and have a goatskin but it just hasn't happened yet, I just know Epsom and it has been amazing. Does wear like iron and can look good after years of daily use. Now have a kelly and Azap in Epsom and love it.

Also, do any of you ladies use your Kelly wallets in the Evelyne bag?! I carry Evelyne's often and I'm hoping the Kelly clasp will not damage the leather of the Evelyne…hope that makes sense?! lol!! TIA:confused1::giggles:

I carry m'y Kelly wallet in my Evelyne. I also have a bag insert and I maie sure to have the clasp facing it so it is not in contact with the bag.

Hi ladies,
all your kelly wallets are BEAUTIFUL, i was wondering, how did you acquire yours, and i would imagine that it is quiet difficult to get one? I feel so intimated to walk into an "h" store and inquire for one. please help

Depending on the store they can sometimes be on the shelf or have a waiting list for it. I think you should inquire at your local store. If you are flexible in color and leather you are more likely to get one. They do become available on Hermes.com also but sell very fast.

I've seen Kelly wallets displayed at the Madison ave in nyc. I don't think it's that hard to get... When I asked my SA about Kelly wallets she gave me like 10 color options for leather and multiple more for croc, etc. Just ask. I'm sure SAs won't get upset as when you ask for Birkin or Kelly.
