Hi I recently purchased a red lizard Kelly wallet and I'm still not sure if I like it or not. I bought it because my SA was holding it for me forever and I didn't want to say no after that. My bf thinks the lizard feels plastic-y and he isn't crazy about the color either. I think it's pretty but I'm afraid if the lizard skin is too fragile to use as a wallet. What do you think about the color and the skin? Any advice will be deeply appreciated!!

My :heart: stopped when I saw this pic! OMG she's magical!!!
I have an Ombre lizard wallet that I have been using nonstop for almost 3 years and she looks a good as new. Lizard is strong. Just need to watch out for water. It will dull the shine. I absolutely love your wallet dear!! WHat color is it exactly?

Thank you all for sharing my joy! I said bougainvillier was like unicorn nowadays and my SA said it was like gold dust! Bless her! I took the BI out today to do more heat test in the sun and I still think it's such a pretty blue. *sigh*

Yes epsom. I just left it in my bedroom where sun hit directly for a few hours now. When I open the door, there was no obvious smell. The wallet is very warm right now but I can just smell a faint chemical smell when I have it right under my nose. If I hold it normally you would with a wallet, I can't smell anything. I don't know I should keep it or not at the moment. My SA said when it was one of the skunky bags, she could smell it from quite a distance. This wallet is nothing like that.

As for the color, I think it's Red, but just red, not a fancy name. This is what the tag says;

ROUGE EXOTIQUE
LEZARD NILOTICUS LISSE/ LAITON

Does this make sense??? 😳 I'm not an expert but since I bought at a boutique I guess that's what it is...

I love your RC wallet! It's the perfect red. Great idea with the straps. :D

I'm eyeing one right now with white stitching but haven't decided to take the plunge because the seller is in Japan and I worry about custom fees when it comes to the US. I'm going to Boston later this month and hope a boutique there may have one in stock (although I'm so banned right now).

So sorry about the skunk smell though!! I did not quite get it, it isn't your boug wallet that has the smell but another one you got?

Thank you dear! Just to clarify, I bought two KW at the same time. The bougainvillier does NOT smell. It's the blue izmir that smells a faint smell when heated up.
