Any opinions on BF vs evergrain leather for the PM size? i like both colors and have another piece in BF which I love but I like the noir color in evergrain though don’t know much about evergrain leather. Any insight/opinion welcome on how evergrain wears, water resistance, scratch prone, soft vs structured etc. is welcome

I've got a 2009 32 K retourne in Evergrain- has worn very well, fairly scratch resistant, and has maintained it's shape. It IS Retourne, and I love a good slouch, but it is not a puddle at all.
I love it.

Ok - I was offered the GM in Etoupe and decided to take the plunge. i’m not yet in love with it but enough ‘in like’ that I decided to go for it. It’s a good size between my larger Kelly 40 and my smaller Hac A Dos PM.

It fits my umbrella, my iPad Pro, my small toiletries and I can roll up my light coat inside as well. The Togo leather on the new piece I got is beautiful. I decided it’s a nice size when I am out in the city and take more things with me for the day than I would when I am just in and out of my car often. It’s also pretty slouchy so I could fit it under my seat in a theater or smaller space where it would be harder to store a more structured handbag.

It also says Hermes for those who know but isn’t an obvious Hermes bag that might invite unwanted attention. I stand corrected on some of my earlier negativity LOL

I got the Kelly Messenger GM in Barenia Faubourg leather (it smells and feels amazing) and just went on my first work trip with it. It fit my Macbook 13" computer and chargers just fine, but I'll be happy when the insert comes to make things easier (if it fits...).
Please do share pics of how things fit, how much you can fit in the GM messenger when you get a chance. :flowers:

got the messenger PM in noir evergrain - much smaller than the GM size (won’t fit my ipad) but more roomy than my hac a dos PM so a good city companion. My first piece in evergrain - I hope it does ok with some occasional water as I’ll be using this often in the city (New York) where you can’t avoid some occasional rain. My Hax a dos is Barenia Fauve - water drops turn the leather darker but it always dries out and you can never see any evidence of water. Even after a few days use, the evergrain is showing some small scratches but they are light and this is intended to be an everyday bag so I don’t mind some wear that gives the bag character :).

Wow, thank you for the great photos. More spacious than I thought. Also those two pockets where the strap is connected on the sides, could those side pockets possibly hold water bottles?

It’s a pretty small space - I have a business card holder in the pocket and that fits fine. I had a small narrow bottle of water and it fit in - fairly tight and it does push the leather inward which reduces inside storage a little bit. I took a photo with my hand to give you an idea of the size of the water bottle. The smaller, but wider, water bottles from Delta don’t fit at all (circumference too big) nor would a standard size water bottle. Hope this helps.
