I don't know what to think. I saw her in this months vogue (didn't know who she was before then) and thought she was very ordinary. Her whole shoot was awful and so far from high fashion.
Then I saw the latest pics of her floating in the g-force 1 plane thingy. Again I couldn't believe how big she was for a "supermodel".
I get it now though. She has massive boobs, a pretty face and a body that appeals to men because most hate skeletons. She can look fantastic in some pics with the right outfit and lighting but she pales in comparison to real supermodels. Eg. I think Miranda kerr us 100x better looking!

I personally don't find Kate Upton super attractive, and it has nothing to do with "intimidation" and everything to do with her simply not being my cup of tea when it comes to beauty. There are many women that men go crazy over who I think are super gorgeous with bomb a$$ bodies....Kate Upton just isn't one of them. Different strokes for different folks.
I think she's pretty. Guys are evaluating her looks for one reason (ahem! - and it's the same reason they measure most girls' looks against, so that is in no way meant to be a slam against her), and most straight women evaluate women's looks on pure style, almost like you would a sculpture or piece of art. Or we look for a style that would work with our own complexion and build that we could emulate (there's a reason that you don't see a lot of tall thin blonde women following the Kardashian girls or a lot of petite brunettes who follow Goop).
Since we aren't actually evaluating the same thing for the same reason as men, of course we won't agree. But I think it's obvious what men see in Upton: laid back and approachable personality, nice, friendly, hot, and all their friends will be jealous. That's all it takes.

The 21-year-old poses for the fairytale-themed issue in corsets and glossy red lipstick - the femme fatale to Brazilian model Marlon Teixeiras evil sorcerer.
The duo are surrounded by dark, enchanted scenery with black baroque furniture, wilting roses, and flickering candelabras scattered throughout.

The shoot, titled Ferocious was styled by former French Vogue editor Carine Roitfeld and photographed by Karl Lagerfeld.
Miss Upton is now a recurring muse of Ms Roitfeld, 59. She appeared on the first-ever cover of CR Fashion Book in September 2012, wearing a knitted V-neck, maternally cradling a brood of ducklings against her ample chest.
She has since featured in Harpers Bazaar, Vogue and countless other prestigious titles.
In October last year, Ms Upton thanked former Ms Roitfeld for helping her make the transition from glamor to high-fashion model.
She told Page Six: 'She was the first editor who put me on the cover actually wearing clothing.'

150% YES. I could not agree with you more... I just couldn't come up with a nice way to say it.
I actually think a large part of KU's appeal (to men) has to do with the fact that she comes off as a fun "party girl" that would probably drink beer and act crazy, rather than glaring at you while sniffing a piece of lettuce. I think her looks/body (read: boobs) are a big part of it, but I don't think they're the whole reason she's so popular with men.It may not manifest as actual "jealousy" but women tend to be far, far more critical of any woman considered "hot" by men.
I understand this too, as there are a lot of celebrities & models considered "beautiful" by others that I am just "meh" on. But then I'm also not in the threads dedicated to them, posting comments about how hideous/fat/etc they are, how every chick in every college town is way hotter, and how they're only famous through connections. (Not saying that YOU were doing this btw, I have not read any of your other posts, just elaborating on my thoughts and using this as a general illustration.)

i think Kate is attractive, i dnt think she fits to be a "model" though. It seems likes shes having Marilyn Monroe moment, like Anna Nicole had. In terms of men liking large breasts, you might think that most men are attracted to that, but for example look at Angie. Megan Fox or Ardiana Lima, brunettes, no boobs, no bum, and they drived men super crazy few years back.
I find Kate's faces pretty, i think its her face features and occasional nakedness that makes her attractive for men, dsnt matter how much cleavo you have as long as you show it off coupled with your legs

I really don't think most people are jealous of her. Honestly I don't know one male or female who finds her attractive, but I know a lot of ppl who find plenty of other women attractive who are far more beautiful facially and build wise than Kate. It's all personal preference and to label everyone who doesn't find her pretty as being "jealous" is a little silly. I just honestly don't get the hype about her. No hate or jealousy here.
