Just Bought a fake Alexander Wang on ebay (and didn't receive it yet)

I mentioned filing with Ebay because the seller stated in their listing that they accepted returns. Ebay should hold them to that. A seller that accepts returns can't pick and choose the reasons. They accept returns for any reason. IMO it is PP that seems to require letters from third party authenticators.

I see in the listing the seller stated "no returns coz all items I sell are genuine and precisely shown in listing pictures."
The seller has changed the return policy after you saw the listing?

Just by the photographs, I agree, the bag is fake.
OP, you might not be getting good reply from the seller because of her return policy. But I believe you should be able to win the claim if you takes all necessary steps one by one.
Good Luck!

Hi,
as you, I saw that at the end of the listing he stated he doesn't accept returns, but Poopsie2 noticed that he wrote "returns: accepted" in the object's description. the seller did not change the return policy, I think he simply stated 2 different things in the same listening...
It' stunning as you can authenticate a bag just by the photographs, I'm very surprised!
I hope I'll win, thank you!

What is the best way for the OP in order to avoid having to pay shipping charges to return the item?

The buyer can ask ebay for a one time shipping credit... they

will send her a pre-paid label... I think I remembering reading something

about that but not sure if it applies to international transactions

between countries or just domestically here in the US...

Hi there
the bag just arrived!!! A little relief...In real life, It's more evident for me that's fake!!! So, I'm going to write right now to the seller asking for a return and a refund. How much I have to wait before opening a claim? I was thinking that if in 24h he doesn't answer I'll contact ebay. What do you think???
thanks

I would give the seller at least 24 hours to respond. I don't expect sellers to respond over weekends. If they do fine, but not everyone stays home. I would give them until Tuesday night.
Just to be safe I would take multiple photos of the bag. Include the little Made In China tag. They can be hard to find in some styles.
Along with the MIC here is a list of photos from the AW Authenticate This thread
Studs
- dust cover
- Inner AW patch/ badge
- AW Hang tag
- A shot of the bag fully expanded
- frontal and side views

Ok, thanks, I will take some photos. I wrote to the seller saying that I'll wait 24 hours (we are Monday, 11:30 am, but I'll wait until Tuesday night as you suggest.).
Sorry, what does "MIC" mean?? :confused1:

Made In China. Wang bags have a tiny tag sewn into the lining with that on it.

This list needs to be updated.:smile1: This list was written before the new rocco was produced.
Include clear photos of engraved hardware (top & side view), care card, hang tags.

MIC = Made in China tag.
The bag pictured in the auction is an obvious fake.

thank you. Now that the bag is here, It's clearly fake...

Since it is obvious fraud, there should be no need for you to pay to ship back item to England.
You have 2 options:

1-seller reimburse the bag and shipping both ways
Ask for it. She knew the bag was fake.

2-file with Ebay, if she is unreasonable. The seller needs to be out of there.
They might ask for a letter attesting it is fake which might cost €.
The bag will not need to be shipped back by French Law.
Saving yourself headache.

leave NEGATIVE feedback. She deserved it.

Hopefully, she is reasonable and will refund you the £18 it cost you to have it shipped to France and also get a quote as far as how much it is going to cost to ship back. Make sure you get signature and insurance (on her dime of course).
Did you tell her, the bag is fake?

Agree here.. Ask for her to reimburse for shipping.. send insured
& with signature and if you do have to open a claim with ebay
because this bag is indeed fake, the seller risks the chance of the
bag either being destroyed or not being returned to her..

So the seller should just be cooperative & do what is right here...
