I think some of you know I’m a fan of heritage leather. Does anyone know if Harmonie is similar to box leather? I’m buying as distant sales, so I do not have the chance to see anything in person. I’m am looking for a red bag, so I all of a sudden thought of the Harmonie one right before I was about to purchase the heritage bag online. Any feedback would be great. Thx in advance.

I have a Harmonie card case. I think it’s close to heritage, but it has a somewhat structured buttery feel. Heritage feels drier, in my opinion. Box feels drier and stiffer to me, too. Perhaps members versed in leathers can chime in with a better answer.

I'm interested to know this too. Also, the red Diane in Harmonie looks to be a darker red than the red Heritage Diane (which seems to be more of a tomato red). Does anyone know if this is case?

Actually yes. I received this reply today from JD. Acajou is almost burgundy, and it has a waxy finish. Coquelicot is a bright poppy red color.

Coquelicot translates to “poppy” and Acajou to “mahogany.”

The first one I can attest to its accuracy.
@bagnut1 are you still enjoying your jd Diane? I was almost fully set on getting the heritage, but last second considered Acajou. I love rouge h box, but I think it will be a slim chance to get that from the boutique. I love barenia. Here’s my current red family. Don’t laugh, I also have a most useless red bag.

lol you need that “useless” bag if you have weebles that need to go skateboarding! And lovely Chanel too!

Yes still loving my Diane Messenger. There really is nothing else out there like it. And I love how it dresses up or down with ease.

The photos of the Acajou do look like Rouge H. Whatever you decide I’m sure you will enjoy your JD.

Hi,
Heritage leather is basically Novonappa from Haas tanneries, its vegetal tanned & will patina & mark with use & time. Harmonie is not veg tanned, so will not develop a patina like the Heritage. It is a lovely leather, similar to Heritage in look but without the veg tanning, and its a good one to go for if you are not too sure if you’re ready for Heritage. According to the JD site, it will develop depth to the colour but not a patina. it will also mark less easily than Heritage.
Personally I love the Heritage, but in time it will definitely not be the same red as the day you buy it. So if you’re looking to keep the colour constant you should consider Harmonie leather.

The square-ish St Clair pochette is very interesting, I like the shape and the hardware very much. Does anyone have personal experience using it ?
I get the feeling its not presented very well on the site, I had to scroll a couple of pages to find it.
A few days (weeks?) ago, it was the first bag you see on their website because this video was playing on a loop:

Now it changed to another looping video. Maybe it alternates.

But yeah, it doesn't seem to be presented very well. It doesn't even have modeling pics on the product page, so one would think it was quite small when in fact it's 17 cm wide--just 3 cm smaller than the Saint-Clair messenger.

Ha! Yes, you’re right, they must mix up the videos playing on their site.
I only noticed this bag because you shared Ramesh’s IG stories, thanks for that. Curious to know if anyone has this St Clair pochette or has examined it personally.
And @Mousy is right, I’d like to see more diversity in their videos, more than preppy young things straight out of high school. They used to have an elegant Asian lady (older) at the very beginning when they launched.

I just remembered that today is the day for the price increase. I checked the website and it doesn't look like they have applied the change to the Saint-Clair messenger yet as it's still 4600 eur (I can't remember the older prices of other bags, unfortunately)

So maybe there is still time for those who are wanting to do a last minute purchase to save a couple of hundred dollars/euros
