New leathers and colors online. I don’t have written permission to post photos from the JD website, so you’ll have to see for yourself. They’re beautiful!
I love brique and souris gris in the tempo leather. The new Lectoure tote colors are stunning, too.
Many bags are preorder. Ugh! I like too many!:panic: Heeeeeeeelllllllp!

Yesterday just as I decided to place an order for the Diane in Bleu de Cocagne they updated their website with a new leather! At first I thought my eyes were playing tricks or it was a typo.. lol. Now I’m back to being undecided, I love the Bleu but completely unsure about what leather:facepalm:

I reached out regarding the Harmonie leather and this is what information I received:

Harmonie leather is a different type of leather from the Heritage leather. As you can see in the description, it is a smooth leather with a waxy feel (one of the biggest differences from the Heritage leather). It is a type of leather that will soften over time, with a light finishing (another difference from the Heritage leather, that has no finishing). The particularity and the beauty of the Harmonie leather is the transparent finish which allows a very nice depth of color in the leather!

If you appreciate the Heritage leather for the patina that develops over time, I personally recommend you to go for another Heritage leather Diane. The Harmonie leather will develop a patina over time as well, but over a longer period of time due to the light finishing.

personally I prefer the shade of blue on the Heritage leather, just because I like that pop of color on a small bag. but I can see the one in Harmonie would go with more outfits because of its neutral tone.

Ive read a blog by the leather crafter. She went to joseph duclos store and noticed that almost each and every bag on display have scratches. That worries me. If i order, I might receive one with scratches.
I had the same concern, not because I dislike scratches but because I want to be the one who puts them there!

Before I ordered I emailed JD, I suggest you do the same to put your mind at ease. The e-boutique manager Lumina is absolutely wonderful and insightful. I was basically told that they will never send a store display model with an online order, it has never happened and will never happen. They explained they have a thorough quality control system done by several people on their product team. The manager even let me know as soon as the bag had passed their inspection. When I received the bag it was indeed pristine and scratch free as they promised.

I do appreciate that the JD team explains their material, leathers & techniques. Personally I’d go for the heritage leather too, but I guess Harmonie would appeal to someone who’s not yet familiar with heritage / novonappa leather. Its a way to ease into natural leathers without being stressed about handling them.

Well I'm pretty sure I've narrowed it down to color in the Diane (Ardroise).....I need a taupish bag for dinners and lighter use. I do have a B30 in Etoupe I use a ton but want something smaller with a strap for after-hours, and am trying to decide between the 20 and the 26. I actually went so far as to cut out pieces of paper to use as a size reference. Can anyone reassure me that the 26 wouldn't be redundant with my 30B? I'm 5'9 and slim. The 20 seems absolutely tiny. For some reason the web photos make the 20 seem bigger than what I'm seeing when I visualize a 20cm x 14cm piece of paper on me....

You may want to check @thebaghag's IG page as she seems to be on the taller side and has the Diane 20 in lizard and has posted various modelling shots of JD bags before on her IG page (there may even be some in her saved IG stories).

Extremely different from a B, not redundant at all.

Personally I would probably go for the 20 given your desired use.
