Moynat during Ramesh Nair's time produced some of the most innovative bag designs and materials used I have ever seen. Moynat today seems like a glorified version of LV -- they seem to focus so much on the canvas line and the leather bags that launched post Nair were sorry to say, bland and looked like LV ✌ Then suddenly now I see Nair's old designs brought back lol! Funny coz my SA at Moynat said back then with the newly appointed CD, that Moynat is now NEW Moynat. They phased out all Nair's work to make way for New Moynat styles. Then now they roll out old Moynat bags? Funny.
So to answer your question (even if it isnt directed at me hehe), I'm all for Duclos bags. Because I know Ramesh Nair doesn't compromise on quality

Just a FYI, if the bag you want is out of stock, try their chat feature on the website. The website wouldn’t let me checkout this bag because it was out of stock. I reached out on the chat feature. I got an email about 20 min later from their Digital Manager, Lumina. She provided me with a pre-order link and I was able to checkout. Delivery, of course, will be a few months.

I’m wondering if I should have ordered one of the passementerie straps but I think I’ll wait until I receive my bag.

Looking forward to see what Ramesh does with this new brand!

YES TO THE PASSEMENTERIE STRAP!!! I loooooove mine and it's crazy how many compliments I get when I carry my bag with it ❤️❤️❤️

I'm almost 5'9" too and I took the L20 size -- not small at all ❤️ But if you carry a lot of things, then go for the larger ❤️

I think we have all been brainwashed so much by a lot of the big brands not to like the smoother leathers, but the reality of it all is, smooth leathers like heritage leather of Duclos, barenia/swift/box/tadelakt of Hermes are the leathers that have the least amount of finish to showcase their exceptional quality. Caviar leather of Chanel for instance, is heavy graining and coating to mask all the natural imperfections of the leather they use. The quality is much, much lower. The beauty of the heritage leather and those other leathers i mentioned from hermes is this -- it is the best quality of leather, it will age so well. 20 years on, the leather will patina but the bag will still be in excellent shape. The beauty of it all is, the bag will grow with you, together I love this idea and more importantly, it has given me a much deeper appreciation for premium quality leather at its least "processed/coated", more "natural" state. Hope my explanation somehow helps ❤️

I read that blog post and was a little annoyed the author did not mention the beauty of untreated leather and the character these bags will have over time. Just focused on scratches on the floor models.

Eep! I really want to and you’re giving me permission! Lol. Which color strap and bag did you get? Which color strap should I get? My bag will be the Ardoise in the heritage untreated leather. I’m leaning toward the red strap. It’s available to add to cart as well. I’m just worried that by the time my bag arrives in a few months, they’ll have a new style out.

Can I torture everyone a little lol
JD has the most beautiful lizard Dianes in L20 size. So I got the yellow, another lady bought the gray and a friend got the red. And then they launch this one in PINK !!! With rose gold plated hardware!!! If I had more €€€ I'd have snapped up this baby too! *cries*

Anyway just had to share this. I loooove the rose gold toned hardware. It's a one of a kind piece. Sooooo soooooo soooooo luxe.

Putting this sakura lady out here, in case one of you decides she is "the one" ❤️❤️❤️

I got the blue one -- that red one is soooo glam. My friend has it and it was sooo beautiful. Let me try to look for a photo of her with it and will post it here when i find it!

Oh my goodness, that’s gorgeous! Do you know the price? I love that clasp so much. Reminds me of Vivienne Westwood clashing with the more conservative luxury brands.

I'm dying here! I have 2 L20s in my cart and the SC messenger, only because I for the life of me cannot decide on color of the Diane. I need a taupe bag, but I love the Châtaignier color as well. But then again, I hoped to get a Delvaux Lingot in that color. And then you torture us with lizard! As these are not on the website, how do we know what is available to order (in the US)???
