Hi! Mine is very neutral, no pinkish hues at all. You will love it! SA did tell me I was lucky to get it when I did since they now have a wait for the Diane in this color. Are you picking it up at the store or having it shipped to you?
Yea the wait is about 3 months but i’m sure it’ll be worth the wait. I’m having it shipped. Went with this one because I do love the color so much and its not prone to scratches but i’m already thinking of getting the Châtaignier but can’t decide between L20 and the messenger. I wanna give the heritage a try. Do you find the bag a good option for dinner dates or for the night in general? Is it comfy to use?

The Diane, to me, is very versatile. Really chic without the strap during dinner dates. It took some time to get used to the clasp but now it feels seamless. I also love the Châtaignier! This time, I opted for the heritage leather in the messenger style.

So excited to get mine. I’m waiting for them to release a black color with GHW in tempo leather.

Do you plan on conditioning the leather? You know how it can get dry. I’m new to handbags and leather. Planning on getting the heritage leather in this color but not sure on how to take care of these kinds of leather. Will definitely ask JD but seeking some advice/input. Thank you 😊
No, I haven't planned on using any conditioners, it doesn't seem to need it at this point. Roughly 8-9 months in, my bag feels just like it did on day 1, still providing a fresh fragrant smell too! Maybe someone else on this forum who has had a bag longer can weigh in? JD has their care instructions here, in case it's helpful!

Maybe I've been away for too long, but I checked the JD website today and was kind of surprised how different it all looks!

I was curious about the prices, particularly of the Diane messenger in Châtaignier -- has it gone up significantly recently? When I bought mine just a year ago in Dec 2023, it was $5,095 base, with $458.55 in taxes and $430.40 in duties, so a total of $5,983.95. But now it's listed as $7,350...base? I knew there was a price increase in early 2024, but I don't recall being that much.

If I switch the website from USD to Euros, the bag is listed for €5600, which is roughly $5830. Even if I assume an additional $1000 in duties/taxes to get a cost of $6830, that is still $500 short of the $7350 when on the USD option of the website. Maybe they are going with the most conservative exchange rate seen in 2024? Not sure how all that works...can anyone enlighten me? (full disclosure: I definitely have "pregnancy brain" right now so could just not be thinking straight).

I ordered the L20 in Marron glacé tempo a little over a week ago. Prices differ from color to the type of leather so its difficult for me to say and have no idea what the price was for mine prior increase. I for sure got it after the increase and just told there will be another price increase to take into effect after Jan 1st.

Wow. They did update the website (now it looks like a regular shopping site, not sure if that's an improvement).

Similarly the Diane messenger is $7350 or 5300€ (a HUGE difference). When I bought mine in Paris a couple of years ago it was 5000€ and the detaxe was 600€, so it came in around $5K. I can't fathom the difference (especially if that's the "base" before taxes and duties).

Agree that the new website looks very generic... not in keeping with the luxury impression that one would expect it to convey.

I sorta agree but also think that it's basically impossible for a website to be "luxury." Back in the late aughts/teens several of the biggies (BV comes to mind) experimented with the "I'm a website but not really a shopping website" model. It was painful to try to find a bag.

People go to fashion sites to research looks/products and to buy stuff. Making that hard for the sake of "luxury" just makes it... hard.

I think JD's go-it-alone strategy also makes it challenging for their marketing design/tech/ecommerce presence. To me it feels cohesive within the JD realm but it's very different than similarly positioned brands within the big conglomerates.

I'm just guessing but maybe, while their previous version of the website looked luxurious, the metrics probably revealed that it didn't help with the discovery of other bags, as there were only a handful shown (was it 4 or 6?) per page, and then customers didn't bother to turn to the next pages to see that there are more models and colors available.

Now they sort of overcorrected and it looks like an old version of the 24s website.

What I would suggest, if anyone at JD is reading this, is that when you click on the tabs like Bags or Small Leather Goods, only 3 items are shown per row instead of 4, so that the preview images are bigger and not thumbnails. It looks too busy and too cluttered at the moment. And instead of paging it, try just one page with lazy type of loading where further items below are only loaded when the user scrolls to that point; this way, the user only has to scroll down instead of clicking page numbers. Or do it like what Hermès does on their website where there is a button called "Load More Items", if you have reached the bottom of the page but there are more to show. And those Filter items on the side are so unnecessary. They just add clutter to page and take up precious real estate that could be used to display more of the images.

I like the new website and seeing it all there at once, but do agree it's generic. I think their price increases are a bit too high. I am in the "can afford" category but "won't buy" as I feel the bags are all about 20% too expensive at this time. And I know the quality and craftsmanship is there, so it's just my opinion. And based on luxury having a tough year, I would hope they don't price themselves out of business.
