I agree, next luxury purchase from JD will be at their atelier. US customs and DHL handling can be such a headache, although I would say, nothing beats the excitement of unboxing

Thank you to everyone here for the support. Just wanted to update re the JD tote exchange situation. The tote came back from France in a big box as requested without being flattened in a mint condition, all thanx to the JD team. Lumina, Latifa and Crizzalyn made the return process very convenient with home pick-up and they paid the duties on time etc. It did take some time returning DHL documents etc but it was worth it. I feel kinda :/ that JD probably lost some money with returns/duties etc and may be somebody got yelled at coz of me creating a scene but at the end of the day, its A busin£ss. I hope my sharing of this particular experience does/will not discourage you all to keep buying from JD. Once again, thank you to everyone here. Lovely community. Dont know you but love you all so much. ❤️

Will do! Suede bags are always tough but I’m hoping since it’s just the top flap, I won’t abuse it too much 😂

The bag can be worn cross body, shoulder and hand carry… But I find it looks very underwhelming without the top handle.

The blue top flap version is beautiful, much more aesthetically pleasing than mine. But that type of blue doesn’t go with anything in my wardrobe so I picked this instead. I hope someone else gets the blue so I can admire from a distance.

I think the color contrast in your black/gris bag makes it look so unique and elegant. More so than the blue one. Also, the hardware on the sides 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽. Just WOW.

JD made it right & that's what counts at the end of the day, so yes, no reason why someone who loves
their bags shouldn't make a purchase.

You are worried but don't worry it will be fine. You will get your bag soon. DHL will contact you for documents. It is neither JD nor DHL's doing. It is just the US customs: if an item being imported is above a certain amount then they need documents. For import, like I said, it is the SSN scanned front and back and/or Tax Form 1040 (just the top part with your SSN showing). You can also call the Customs Import department @ 1-866-600-0014. They are quite friendly and helpful. Good luck.

Hi @YGR: any issues with the package being stuck in the DHL customs? I did not know perfumes is on the list of "dangerous goods" so I bought one last week and now the same DHL BS. Please share how you cleared the customs (if you had to do that). Thank you so much. <3
