Hi Guys! I haven't been around for a while because life got in the way (I'm pregnant for the first time! First trimester is awful!), but wanted to post an update on my Diane Messenger Bag in case anyone else is curious about how the leather holds up after months of use.

I have used my bag frequently since I got it back in April, so roughly almost 3 months of use. I'm including 2 photos: one of the bag as it was this morning, never been buffed at all during my 3 months of use. And I don't baby it! I literally half-mindedly threw it into the backseat floor of my car this morning where it rolled around a bit during the drive, and had it sitting on the pavement at lunch today. The second photo is after probably a minute's worth of buffing using one of the sleeves it came in - by no means much effort or even using anything fancy.

All in all, I'm pretty please that the scratches can so easily disappear. Stand further away and you really don't see them at all. Now I just need that strong patina to start forming!

Hello

does anyone know what company or Corporation/LLC is collecting the California Sales Tax for Joseph Duclos.
Question above i just received from the State of California today (7/16/24) in regards to my Diane L20 on line purchase in July 2023.
State of California keeps asking me for a proof that I paid CA state tax.

Have you asked Duclos? If not, I would email Lumina or their other customer service email. I thought they took care of all the taxes and duties so they should know and have the paper trail for this. Hope this helps. Good luck!

this is what i received from the State of CA today: I am unable to find a SALES TAX ACCT for JOSEPH DUCLOS 1754, could you please tell me what name or Corporation umbrella you are selling under collecting the CA SALES TAX. we do not want to charge the customer double sales tax if it’s being collected time of purchase.

I asked J Duclos back in March and they assured me that State taxes are paid, apparently State of CA is unable to locate it.... go figure :)

@YGR, that's crazy. I guess I'd still go back to Duclos and tell them that CA can't find it---I feel it really is Duclos' responsibility to prove that the taxes were paid (maybe they have an itemized invoice?). You shouldn't have to pay taxes twice---so it really is Duclos' issue now and they should get the proper paperwork to you or directly to the State of California.

thank you, I agree with you.... what a pain.... i wonder if any other customers from CA are experiencing the same issue :(

I’m glad this is now JD’s problem.:facepalm: Out of curiosity, is your sales tax on the receipt? My purchases receipts list my state sales tax and duties paid.
