Yay, my Billy M in burgundy is on its way to me! :yahoo: I just placed the order, fingers crossed that it will arrive on Friday.
Weird thing: I wanted to order the bag through the European Dreyfuss e-shop. It costs 635 euros. Yesterday, I was surfing around and checked the site of Parisian store Le Bon Marché (department store like Galerie Lafayette) and saw that they also sell JD bags. Guess what? The burgundy Billy M was marked 575 euros! I first thought it might be an error, but I checked all their bags and they were all cheaper than on the JD e-shop. AND they offer cheaper shipping. The choice was made quickly :graucho:
And now the waiting begins!

Awesome!

Hi everyone!

I'm new here and decided to join instead of lurking because I absolutely LOVE JD bags and was excited to see others who love them as well! I've got the Billy M in dark green (goat) and a Franky in black python (that was a big splurge!)

For those of you in the US the NY store is having a sale (-30-40%) and some of the bags are marked down on the Eshop and they're offering free shipping. :)

Welcome fellow JD lovers. I got the email about the sale. Oh I wish I was in NYC to see the bags IRL before I purchase. I've got a number of bags and SLGs on my wish list

I just bought, about 15 minutes ago, the mustard-colored, Billy M, in goat leather for US$476.00 (regular price US$680.)

575 euros would be a little over US$750.

When in Paris, I rent an apartment less than a minute's walk from the Jerome Dreyfuss boutique, and have checked their prices many times. At least it's good that Bon Marche, my favorite department store by the way, had it for less than on the Jerome Dreyfuss website.

Thanks so much for the tip renee_nyc! I will check out the online store now.... :)

Did you end up buying anything? Net a Porter also had them on sale but they sold out. Scoop NYC also sells them in their stores but never on the site. I have noticed that they have a better selection in store and that it is worth visiting or calling (they will ship from the store) if you don't see what you want on the E-Shop.

I was in a new store (can't remember the name) that had Maxes, Bobis and Twee Minis on sale. I was soooo tempted to buy but after splurging on the Franky in python I must. stop.

I got an e-mail from http://www.jerome-dreyfuss.com the other day, as I get the newsletter. The bags are on sale and I just bought the mustard-colored, Billy M, in goat leather, for $476.

Thanks for the heads up. I just got back from my vacation and I see that the e-shop is closed until Monday.

I also saw that NAP marked down the Black Twee Mini but it's already sold out. Darn it, I really wanted it and I kept stalking it!

My BillyM, in mustard-colored goat leather, arrived day before yesterday and I've been using it ever since. However, it was tedious trying to figure out how to keep it closed as there are strange snaps in strange places. But, I worked with it and have figured part of it out. It's too bad that the video, with Jerome showing how to use his handbags, is no longer on the Jerome Dreyfuss website.

The bag is incredibly comfortable and flexible as the goat leather/suede is very soft. I'll have to save up for another one in another color now. It's good I'm in Paris annually and stay about 30 seconds from the boutique. :D

I love my Medium Billy. It took some time but I figured how how all the snaps work. Once I figured it out it was a total AH HA moment for me. I miss the videos as well. They had one of the mini twee how to convert it into a belt bag that was very interesting.

I love my Billy M! Even my boyfriend thinks it's a great bag. It is a lot bigger than it looks - managed to fit a 15" Mac book in it one day. I wish they did more goatskin, I absolutely love how soft it is and it's worn in really nicely.

I also wish they did more goat leather. I love it and it shapes to one's body making it very comfortable to carry. Plus, it's very light. I'll check at Jerome's Paris boutique, in a few months, to see if there are any previous model bags left in goat leather. But, that boutique is very small and bags fly out the door like crazy. I was there, less than a year ago, and dropped by to try to get a Billy and all the bags that I was interested in (except the gorgeous, camouflage, python Billy) were sold out. But, python has been illegal here in California for decades.

I'm going to contact the company and suggest more goat leather and also more videos on how to use the various bags. I'm known for writing letters to companies. :smile1:
