I know - it's a really sick price. I totally don't need it but am considering it because the price is amazing. I don't tend to wear brown in the winter though (at least not that light) and I have one bag that is the exact same color. If it goes down a bit more I might (there are 3 sitting there currently $449 and another 40% off.)

Wow, that's an awesome price. Too bad I hate brown or I'd be really tempted. :graucho: :p

Grrr. Didn't leave the office until 9:30 last night - so I missed cocktails at JD entirely. I'll have to find another excuse to check out the spring collection.

I do have to say that my calfskin Bob is softening up nicely. The bags really do get better with age.

Sounds great! I'll be interested to hear how the spring goatskin is.

What a shame you missed the cocktail party. Oh, well. My bag is really getting softer and shaping even more to my body shape when I carry it. And I still haven't changed bags yet. I can't remember ever using the same bag this many weeks straight without changing bags.

Yes, I was annoyed...I need to find a way to work less and still afford nice bags ;)

I had the exact same thing with my Billy (I may have *ahem* gone a few months!) I used it today and was looking at it rather affectionately on the NY subway. It's worn really beautifully. Worth every penny. I would love to get another - I think a dark grey or navy would wear really beautifully for winter.

Hi All, new to this thread! I love JD bags and especially the python bags! You wouldn't think they are durable and useable everyday but they are. I have a Max in a dark brownish green python from two years ago and it's been with me through rain and snow. It doesn't get drenched but absolutely no damage at all to it. Plus it's gone with me to Africa and back through airports etc....awesome travel bag!
I also have a Twee in green python, both wallet sizes and: one in red python and one in brown python and I just got the camouflage python in the Billy!! I just can't get enough and that's why I try to stay out of their store here in Soho....just too dangerous!
Yet if any of you ever take the plunge...trust me the python will hold up and is worth every penny!!!! :-)

Hi, I am so happy that your pythons have held up well. I got a Franky black python a few months ago and I have to admit I LOVE it and use it a lot. Now I really, really want a python Twee.

Do you ever condition them? The guy at the store said it might be a good idea if they feel dry but he doesn't think I'll need to do it a lot.

Congrats on the Franky.
Nope haven't conditioned them once. Even my wallets have held up really nice. The python just gets softer and more lush. None of my items have peeled so I am very happy with the quality, style, etc!

Hey everyone. I have a question about cleaning the calfskin Jerome Dreyfuss bags. What do you use? There's a small stain on one of mine that isn't that noticeable but it's bugging me. The bag is a medium color (vision, from the FW11/12 collection) so I want to be very careful about what I use to clean it! The site recos Savon De Marseille which I do like as a soap but I feel weird about putting soap on my bag!
