New Janet images posted within videos of Janet's recent social media posts about her State Of The World Tour which begins Thursday.

Each image has been included at the end of the videos linked below. Each video represents a previous Janet era and includes some snippets of her socially conscious songs from the era represented within the accompanying videos. Also the images are filtered to the color scheme of the albums she is referencing.

It was said in the press release about her State Of The World Tour that her socially conscious music that she has released throughout her career would be performed on the State Of The World Tour in addition to her hits and newer songs (Press Release here: janetjackson.com/tour). So I'm assuming some or all the songs that were included in the videos below will be performed or at least the songs' instrumentals will be used on the State Of The World Tour.

And she added she has set plans in motion so she can help people in need during her visit to the hurricane hit city

The Pleasure Principle favourite said: 'We're going to roll in early because we want to visit some of the shelters.'

The State Of The World setlist I think might be my favorite tour setlist that Janet has done. I say this because on previous tours Janet would perform just the hits and a few songs from her most recent album that was accompanying the tour. But with the State Of The World Tour Janet incorporated both well known hits but also the fan favorites.

And by that I mean a casual fan might know just the singles (the hits) Janet has released and might buy a tour ticket because of that because they know those songs will likely be performed. But Janet also incorporated the "fan favorites" songs meaning the casual fan might not know the songs but a loyal fan that has all her albums would love the concert because of "fan favorites"...the songs some of us have wanted to see Janet perform live at least once since we first heard them on her albums.

Janet Jackson State Of The World Setlist:
  1. The Knowledge
  2. State Of The World
  3. BURNITUP!
  4. Nasty
  5. Feedback
  6. Miss You Much
  7. Alright
  8. You Want This
  9. Control
  10. What Have You Done For More Lately
  11. The Pleasure Principle
  12. Escapade
  13. When I Think Of You
  14. All For You
  15. All Nite (Don't Stop)
  16. Love Will Never Do (Without You)
  17. Twenty Foreplay
  18. Where Are You Now
  19. Come Back To Me
  20. The Body That Loves You
  21. Spending Time With You
  22. No Sleeep
  23. Got 'Til It's Gone
  24. That's The Way Love Goes
  25. Island Life
  26. Throb
  27. Together Again
  28. What About
  29. If
  30. Rhythm Nation

The jeans and sweater is an interesting choice [emoji58]

It actually seems like with the wardrobe changes for the State Of The World Tour they were essentially a representation of the Rhythm Nation, Janet., The Velvet Rope, and All For You tours. The looks are updated obviously but they clearly seem to be referencing those 4 previous tours.

Janet Jackson shows off her incredible post-baby figure in chic Nineties-style outfits as she's seen performing in concert for the first time since giving birth in January

She became a first-time mother at the age of 50 this year, welcoming her son Eissa into the world in January.

And Janet Jackson was back to business nine months after giving birth, as she captivated the crowds during the opening night of her State Of The World tour in Lafayette, Los Angeles. The chart-topper showed off her incredible post-baby figure on Thursday, as she harked back to her Nineties heyday in a skintight white poloneck and blue jeans.

The brunette beauty looked as though she had never been away from the stage, while performing a the Cajundome - after postponing touring over a year ago to start a family. The singer, now 51, showed off her age-defying beauty as she styled her caramel-hued tresses in a Nineties-inspired scraped-back ponytail.

She cinched in her incredible svelte frame with a black belt and completed her grungy look with a pair of denim peep-toe ankle boots. Not content with one stage look, the musician later slipped into a black figure-hugging catsuit. The slinky garment featured a racy keyhole neckline and further accentuated her physique thanks to a wide black belt.

Janet Jackson to meet with victims, donate Saturday night's Houston concert proceeds to Hurricane Harvey relief

Janet Jackson just promised something special for Hurricane Harvey victims when she arrived in Houston Friday for a weekend concert. Now, she's keeping her word.

Janet, her brother Randy Jackson, her band, and her dancers will be at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston today at 2 p.m. to meet with victims who've been evacuated from their homes and taken refuge there. She'll also meet with evacuees who are being housed at the city's NRG stadium.

Janet's first concert in the area will take place Saturday night at the Toyota Center in downtown Houston, and she plans to donate all proceeds from the show to local flood relief charities.

Houston's the second stop on Janet's State of the World Tour, which kicked off Thursday night in Louisiana. The setlist included plenty of new material, as well as number of medleys -- rather than full versions -- of the star's long string of hits, including "Miss You Much," "Control," "What Have You Done for Me Lately," "Alright," "All for You" and "When I Think of You."
