Their uncle hustled Christina Onassis during her father’s funeral. It is a family tradition.
At the end, it worked out, they were cremated and repose at sea.

It's possible that the Bessette family wouldn't have filed a wrongful death suit if they had been treated reasonably and with respect by Caroline and her husband, Ed Schlossberg, who seems pretty awful himself.

It might have been the only way the Bessettes and Freemans could basically stand up for themselves with people who are used to getting their own way and trampling on everyone around them, which is how I see the Kennedys now. A big, public FU to the entire Kennedy clan.

Mrs. Freeman wanted her daughters buried close to home and the Kennedys wanted John buried in the family plot in Massachusetts. So why not do that and why have them all cremated I always wondered.

I was a little kid on that day and we were transfixed in Canada watching the whole thing on our black and white TVs.

My point is - this was my very first conspiracy theory that has haunted me. We could see something wasn't being told and I was only a kid and could see that.

Years later I read the Warren report's conclusion there was no conspiracy in John F. Kennedy's assassination was to calm the nation down because they wanted to get on with things and move forward.

ok
but some might think its cold to file a wrongful death suit against your son-in-law for an accident too
He may have been somewhat reckless but there was no malice
he did not know how to fly using instruments, therefore he was not qualified to fly at nighttime.
As far as suing the family, imo it was the only remedy available to the aggrieved family and the only language the Kennedy seems to understand.
The family had horrible articles written about the Bessette sisters. As if somehow it was their fault that he did not know how to fly in the dark.
The only way JFK jr would have been exonerated is if the plane malfunctioned, this was not the case.
He was the pilot and thus is responsible.
