Jackie O. and ALL things Kennedy

watched most of a Kennedy biopic on MAX last night. I think it may have originated on CNN. Interesting but I don't know if I believe everything they said as fact. They said that JFK was having an affair with Marilyn Monroe and that Jackie threatened to divorce him if he didn't cut it off. I don't think this was ever proven. they also said Joe Kennedy selected Jackie's bridal gown. I don't know if I believe that.

Edit - people says it's true about the gown...don't know if that means it's true

I never understood why the Kennedy family was so revered . Of course the brothers assassinations were awful, there's no denying that. But with everything I've read about the family (I was born a couple of years after RFK was assassinated), they did not seem like good people. And never mind the killer (and harasser) who somehow still remained a senator for decades afterwards.

could be you don't understand partly because of your age. They were beloved by a lot of people - black people, Catholics, and lots of others. The press didn't really report on their personal lives. Jack Kennedy had a beautiful wife and small children, rare for the white house.

I agree…and remember, this all took place before the Internet. Everything was different…especially how information was distributed and shared…
