I would definitely start with beads before you resize the ring at all. My knuckle is more than 1 full size bigger than the base of my ring. My ring is sized to get over my knuckle with two blobs of platinum inside where it would be against my skin. That fills the gap and prevents most of the spinning. In the winter it's almost 2 full sizes (aka 4 vs 6) difference between knuckle and base of finger and I still have a little spinning but nothing like I would without the beads.
Half-shank pave or not, sizing a ring with pave is still likely to mess the pave all up. It changes the "tension" in the beads that hold the stones.[/QUOTE]
This is what I'm talking about! I hear good jewelers will retighten all the pave crowns after resizing to avoid pave falling out. Some use laser or what not-correct me people.
