Hehe. I did it for you!
I thought so. Yours looks almost the same size as mine!!! You paire your soleste with a chanel-set band! They look great. I must try that combination! If you don't mind taking some more pics, you should post them in the Engagement Ring thread! More people will have a chance to see your ring!:p

MatAllston,

Thank you! It seems you have a Tiffany e-ring, too!
I thought I was going to buy another brand, but at last I chose Tiffany!:D

Hi hope you don't mind i asking how big is your tiffany solitiares?
i am planning to upgrade my e ring, i have a one carat, but it looks ok on my hand, since a lot people are talking about sola here, so makes me tempted.

i saw the pic for both of your solitiares and your sola, so not sure if i shall go for bigger solitiares or sola, if you could give me the diamond size for setting, then i can compare, thanks

Hi, yminni:

My tiffany classic solitiare is 2.43 carats. Going for a bigger solitiare or a soleste would be something very different. With a soleste, you can enjoy the "ring size" for much less money. A one big stone sparkels sharply and strongly. The soleste sparkles differently and you can enjoy the yellow diamond and dainty pave settings!;)

You think your current one carat e-ring looks good on your hand, but you want to have a bigger solitiare or a soleste? ??? ?

yes, saw a lot people are talking about the Sola here, which makes me think of upgrading to sola could be a good idea.

Thank you for the pic! I don't think its plain. I call it the beauty of simplicity! But, yes, I understand you are attracted to a halo look. Good luck! :smile1:;)

Yminni, I don't think it looks plain. Do you wear it with a diamond band? That might help. I like the soleste but it took away from the center diamond for an e-ring, so that's why I prefer the classic solitaire. I still like the soleste btw!

But, you know When I look at Eiseine big claw of a solitaire, i'm just breathless.

could not be agree more, yes, Eiseine's big claw is just too perfect, i went to Tiffany today, they showed me some of those 1.65ct, also very pretty.

now i have to really think serious 1.4ct maybe Tiffany setting or a Sloa....lol:D

Oh, watch out for the shrinking factor! It is a true illness and well discussed here on tpf and has hit the most humble of us all. Since it's a once in a lifetime upgrade, make sure you get what you think you might be happy with in say 10 years? Personally I'd get closer to a 2 carat. When you come back and stare at Eiseine's big claw, you wont think, 1.4 arrrggghhh what the heck was I thinking. Just a thought!

As scarlet555 says, upgrading e-ring is very tricky. You'd better debate on your upgrading needs and find out the right ring size for you, considering your lifestyle, etc. not by looking at other's rings.:D

If you think your current one carat solitaire is plain, I am afraid to say but, you will probably soon find your upgraded 1.4 solitiare plain. I recommend you ask Tiffany ready both Classic Solitiare rings and Soleste rings within your price range (double the cost of your original e-ring?), and try them on and just pick up what you want most. You don't need to decide on either Solitaire or Soleste in advance, do you?

For those of your who have your Sola's as a second ring.....how long did you wait to get yours after your original??

I just got engaged and love my ring but now am obssesing over this one and feel bad if I would even mentioned to DF......

Maybe it will be engagement gift to myself :D

I need professional help!
