shopgrl, I think you can pull off the soleste as a non-ering, it can look like such a fancy ring instead. Eiseine did it!
I have a yellow diamond ring- not tiffany and I wear mine as a right hand ring. I few people have thought I was engaged or something along those lines but I just tell them it's my right hand ring and I bought it for myself. 
For those of your who have your Sola's as a second ring.....how long did you wait to get yours after your original??
I just got engaged and love my ring but now am obssesing over this one and feel bad if I would even mentioned to DF......
Maybe it will be engagement gift to myself

I understand that you both a solitiare (yours is solitiare???) and a halo. I was totally happy with my Classic Solitiare, but I craved for a halo ring. When I tried on a soleste, I couldn't resist it because it was a combination of yellow diamond and halo design!!!
I LOVE my soleste, but now I can more appreciate my simple solitiare than before.
Yes, if you can, get a soleste for your engagement gift for yourself!!!Einseine, your yellow diamond Soleste is absolutely breathtaking! Owning that ring must feel like a dream come true. I like the way you accessorize it with the Tiffany Swing band and with the Tiffany watch and Cartier Love bracelet---WOW!!!

Eva! Thanks! The soleste is a great ring! I believe it is a timeless ring like the classic setting.
There are many other TPFers who have amaging Yellow Diamond Solestes! Find your own colour, size and shape!!!

Ellen, your .44 YD Soleste looks so pretty! Due to the double halo, I don't think the Soleste really needs that big of a stone.

Wow, I never would have known that there was such a huge price difference between a .49 and a .53---a $2400 difference! That's a HUGE price jump! Were they both fancy yellows, or was the more expensive one a fancy vivid or fancy intense?
I plan to get a fancy yellow, since those are the least expensive. The smaller carat weight looks great on you, so hopefully it will be the same for me. Thanks for posting the helpful info!

Both your rings are absolutely stunning !!! The soleste is the perfect yellow and I know what you mean when you say it sparkles so much under the sun! I recently got engaged and my partner got me the round soleste with pink halo - I never would have thought or know it was so beautiful on and how sparkly they are !

My tiffany classic setting is 2.43. Yes, I think the classic setting is really special!!! But, I am now viewing and trying on emerald cut diamond rings. My DH (and also my mother) says EC ring looks better on me.
