Nooo ( I wish!!!) it's only being brought in, I havn't even purchased one yet! i'm debating between 2 rings right now a FY .39 at $5600 or .56 FY at $6800:thinkin:

Candice, so sorry! I am too anxious about your purchase.:sweatdrop:
Well, you are indeed in a :thinkin: situation. Both are FY, but they might look different and you might prefer one to another. It is hard to tell the carats of the Soleste's center diamond (it is too dizzy..). The size (as a ring) difference between .39 and .56 might be not much, but the shapes might be different.

GOOD LUCK!:balloon:

bb10lue,

I saw the pics of your solitiare with your gorgeous watches, Love bracelets, etc. :p Wow & Oh!!! You will be getting the Soleste as your RHR!!! Great! Are you planning to wear both of your Solitiare and the Soleste at the same time????

If you have the Solitiare, you'll really love the Soleste. You will love the difference, and I think you'll learn to love your Solitaire more and more!!!;)

Thats the thing though. I don't know if i wanna wear both at the same time, as the soleste might over shine my e-ring.....I saw you have the solitaire too, are you wearing both at the same time?

thanks einseine!
well I was going to purchase the one they have in stock at the moment the 0.56 but...someone has it on hold!!! that was the one I fell in love with, I hope they don't buy it:sweatdrop: oh boy...now the waiting game begines to see if it is free to purchase!

I wore both on the last weekend when we had dinner at the restraunt.:amuse: I put my Soleste solo on the right forth finger. I asked my dh if I looked too much with the bling on both hands. He said, "No."

The solitiare sparkls differently, more sharply and strongly. The Soleste sparkls like crazy, but it's cushion-cut + melee diamonds did not over shine my e-ring. But, a well-cut RB sometimes faces up, say a "black hole." The Soleste always looks "lit up" (that's halo design!) and sometimes looks bigger than the solitiare.

It might depends, how big the Soleste's center is. So, I am not sure. My dh says my e-ring definitely looks more gorgeous! My mother loves the solitaire more, too. I LOVE BOTH!!!!! :smile1:

I hope you will be able to purchase the one you love! Tiffany must have similar rings, around 0.5 ct center Soleste rings!! Somewhere, on the globe!!! Or,,, can you wait, say, until the Christmas???

Good luck!!!:smile1:

Girlfriend, nothing is going to outshine that 2.4 classic STUNNER e-ring you have, don't worry!!! I know what you mean though - I was afraid a soleste would do the same to mine, they put on such a sparkle show!!!

Thank you for your attention and kind words!:D

Some of you might have posted before, too.
I am sorry I could not read and missed the opportunities to respond to the LOST comments.
Thank you those who had posted on my first thread!

I am surprised to know that Tiffany Soleste has a lot of fans!

Ovincze,
Have you tried on the Soleste ring? At first, I had no interest in it. My interest and admiration gradually grew while looking at the Soleste rings on TPF.:smile1: And I fell in love with it when I tried it on!

mikimoto007,
About the colour. NO, the most intense one is Fancy VIVID YELLOW. VIVID yellow looks like more orange. I couldn't find any VIVID Solestes. The availability of YD rings is limited, compared to WD.:smile1:

FYI ... not all vivids are "orange" - in fact I have researched the Tiffany line of yellow diamonds pretty extensively and have yet to see anything remotely bordering on "orange"!!

My DBTY yellow diamond is fancy vivid and I don't think it has a hint of orange in it! In fact I couldn't tell the difference between it and the fancy intense (which is what I was aiming for) at all!

JEN,
Thank you!!! I love you!!!:D:kiss:
I thought I was going to ask you to post your DBTY yellow diamond pendant, but I was reserved.

I've seen some bezet-setting rings with fancy vivid yellow diamonds. They looked more INTENSED, but as you say, the "orange" is the wrong word to experess the vivid stones. (Some vivid diamonds not from Tiffany look "orange", though.)

Your yellow diamond looks really saturated, something organic, say a real fruit!!! I'm very impressed. Tiffany's fancy vivid yellow is something.:worthy: I'm sure you can tell the difference between intense and vivid under the sun.:smile1:

I want one, but I want a VCA necklace, too...:help:

LOL. Yes, all this talk of yellow vivids being orange is ridiculous. I would think they would relabel it as a "yellow-orange" stone. There is such a thing. A vivid is just a very intense yellow diamond. It's fully saturated yellow. Under the sun, a vivid would still have a lemony color. A regular fancy yellow would turn white under the sun. Actually, the melee diamonds would sparkle that fancy yellow diamond out under flourescent lights. A vivid can still hold it's own and still sparkle yellow under similar lights. I'm thinking Katie Holmes' pink diamond versus J Lo's pink ring from Ben Affleck.

Jen, did you return this necklace? If you really want a soleste, you may want to return this, and just get the soleste... My reasoning ..and don't kill me for this.. cushion and radiant cuts are best for colored stones. The cut brings out the color. Solitaires are best for white colored stones - they bring in more light. So for your pear - you are bringing in some light - and that yellow color is dispersing. But honestly, not all yellow stones are the same in color. It's like a thumb print and it's also based on preference. Some people like their yellows saturated, some people like it faint.

Just a fun fact, Harry Winston doesn't sell yellow fancy diamonds. They only sell fancy intense and fancy vivid. Just like their diamonds - they only sell D-E-F. I don't agree with this though. They accept cuts that are "Good" and clarities that are "VS1". A G colored with an excellent cut and Internally Flawless will outshine a D colored diamond with a 'Good, VS1' cut anyday IMO.

FYI. DeBeers' Aura(upper) and Harry Winston's micropave. HW's center stone is just 1 carat. Aura's 2~2.5 carats. Not the pics of the exact rings that I tried on, but I tried on these carat sizes at DeBeers and Harry Winston.

The size (surface area) of 2-carat Aura that I tried on was almost the same as my 1.17 Soleste's, and the HW's, my Soleste without the outside halo!:D

You're so right! My main goal is that I never want a yellow diamond to wash or white out in the sun - I want it to "hold it's own" just like you said, under any lights! They ALL look yellow in the store... I made them walk every yellow diamond I was interested in out into the daylight to see how it performed in the sun! :) This one definitely looks very lemony and yellow even in the brightest lights... and more saturated inside. Love it!

No wasn't thinking of returning it... still hung up a bit on getting a soleste ring! I wish I could have combined the two in a soleste pendant but this pendant just stole my heart! Am TRYING not to go overboard and get a nice small one... :) Will update you if I do! I just keep getting drawn to it!

Oooo...that necklace sounds like a keeper! Ok..time for you to save up for a soleste. ;)

i never seen these pics! Thanks for sharing. I've seen the HW 1ct in person and I prefer the Tiffany soleste design hands down. The HW 1ct is very small imho.
