Is the Damier Azur too hard to keep clean?

I had a similar thing on my old bloomsbury in DE - the brown colour went off and there remained black places. Unfortunately it was on the back side of the bag.

View attachment 2227878View attachment 2227879 is this happening to anyone else's Azur? The blue is rubbing off in a lot of places. She's only two! And I don't baby her but I certainly don't abuse her!
I have had my speedy 35 azure for about 5 years and she is pretty good and I'm not precious with her either. She has a few really small spots that have rubbed off but nothing too concerning. However, I also have the Sarah wallet in azure and it is a little more worse for wear than the bag and looks a little more "used" than anything else. Shame they do not have any cleaning products for them!!

So I'm looking to get a Damier Azur Speedy 30 in the next couple of months, but I just wondered what experience people who have had their Azur bags for a while have with it. Do you recomment it? As it's such a light colour do they get dirty really easy and do they need babying? Can they just be wiped down? Also does anybody have a photos of the patina, as I really like the light leather against it but don't think I've seen what it's looks like with patina.

I've basically only seen pretty new Azur bags on here so I have no idea how they age.

I plan to have the bag for years so I don't want it to look dirty and grubby and just not very nice after a few years. I'm not really a brown person, so I wouldn't consider DE and although the mono is slowly growing on me I still much prefer DA.

Any long term owners advice/pics would be much appreciated!

Thanks :smile1:

I think Azur is really pretty in the speedy. That and the pochette nm are my favorite in the Azur pattern. I think as long as you watch wearing the bag with dark colored denim, and do not take it out in pouring rain it should be fine. Canvas is very durable. Speedy is iconic, i love it . Get it!! :)

I've had my DA Saleya PM for five years now and aside from minor wear along the bottom edge of the bag, the only significant sign of ageing is the honey patina on the handles. I don't wear denim, so the back of my bag doesn't show any colour transfer.

it's not hard to maintain, just wear light colored clothes. mine had some color transfer when I wore it with my new black pants. wipes didn't help much.
It eventually rubbed off as it rubs my other light colored clothes...
just avoid it all together, especially denims.

I've had my Azur Artsy since last March, have carried her a lot, and not a mark on her. The handle now has a gorgeous patina which I love against azur. I don't baby my bags but I am very careful with them.

I have had my azur Speedy for a long time now, and it still looks GREAT! I put a loose dustbag over it when not in use, I sprayed the vachetta after purchase... and it's not even that dark yet at all, quite light actually. No transfer issues at all with any of my azur items. (I don't wear over-dyed type jeans or dark colored wool anyway) Wash new clothing once before wearing. A Magic Eraser works great for quick touch-ups. It's a gorgeous bag, you will love it! :-)
