Is the Burberry trench worth it?

Bought 3 in Las Vegas in January. Two for my sister and one for me. Wore mine to the Basque Country and it was not warm enough. Love it tho but got it really dirty as as I put it in my carry on bag and didn’t realize I was dragging the sleeve on the ground. Such a fail on my part.

I’d also like to share my experience here. I bought my first Burberry trench beginning of this year in a Burberry boutique. The service was superb, very friendly and patient SA. I chose the Chelsea mid length in midnight. As I live in a colder climate I was only able to start wearing it mid of March. More or less every time I wear it I get compliments about it. Even if I just wear a jeans and t-shirt I look very put together and sophisticated. I am very happy with my purchase and can definitely recommend it.

I wanted the Burberry trench coat for a long time but since I used to live in humid country n don't travel often there was no good reason to invest. Now living in Australia with 4 seasons but settled with Zara, H&M and even Ted Baker. When we went to Japan I was hoping to find one in outlet (blue label) but it's either man's size or too small, went searching from Tokyo, Osaka & Kyoto, found one preloved in Kyoto but it was a Raglan sleeves n I didn't like it. So when we were in Narita airport I went to Burberry sadly they didn't have my size. So in the end once I came back to my city, I bit the bullet & bought myself a Kensington mid length since I'm a shortie. I opted for one size bigger to comfortably wear jumper underneath for winter days. The fitting of Burberry is heaps better than any other I've tried on. I know I would get my cost per wear on this beauty & the customer service is superb! So to me it's well worth it.
Ps. I got a high tea invite the next following week 😅

You look amazing! I'm sure you'll get plenty of wear out of your trench.

I live in London, UK and always thought I couldn't bring myself to splurge on a trench. With absolutely no plans on my radar, one day as I was casually browsing burberry boutique, I saw the most stunning trench ever. It was chocolate brown with bright pink lining. I purchased it in a heart beat!

Fast forward to 3 years and I am still in awe of it. Though i wear it less frequently as I had imagined, I feel like a million bucks everytime I do.

Congratulations and Wear it in good health! 🌟

Looks like you might need some tailoring. At the very least, a shortening of the sleeves. Perhaps a smaller size might work better. My two cents.

Thank you Your coat color combo sounds amazing😍 one that I don't see often. Would love to see picture of it if you don't mind sharing. Thanks again 💚

I would say it depends.
My long beige classic trench was a bust. I've had it for nearly 20 years and have worn it a handful of times.
But my 3/4 black trench with the removable lining is an absolute favorite!

Just wondering whether you all feel that the Burberry trench is a versatile coat for day to night? I have a short Prorsum line trench in Honey Beige and I'm heading to London this weekend, I was thinking of taking it as my only coat to wear in the day and evening.

Will be going to the theatre, some casuals dinners and some museums/galleries.

The Burberry trench is *the* trench, imo. Even other, more expensive or fancy trench coats don’t compare. I have a black, short Kensington one that I bought in 2017, and it still looks new. I just bought a mid-length, tan Kensington trench, which I’m waiting for after alterations. I can’t wait to wear it, probably next weekend, with a long sleeve t-shirt and jeans. Elevates any outfit. Just my opinion!

I agree, there’s a special aura to it. While some of their bags aren’t that special, the trench is a classic

Absolutely... have mine from my first trip to London & not saying how many years ago that
was & my DH purchased his as well
Everything that can be said about a raincoat Burberry checks all the boxes including wearing well
