Is the Burberry trench worth it?

I have 3 trenches. Personally, I think Burberry trenches are not that coveted anymore. There are other brands making nice trenches that there is no need to spend the ridiculous price for Burberry.
Exactly this. I have two, one black and one beige, and bought them when they were not expensive. They are classic but other designers make trenches in very similar style, like Annie Bing, but cost a lot less.

Agree with this :) I’ve owned three Burberry standard trench coats over the years and two Burberry metallic leather ones. I have less iconic ones that I prefer (Hermes recently, and a denim 2008 Carolina Herrera that I still wear

When my mom, toddler and I went on a girls trip to London, we bought my daughter a Burberry trench. Have you seen a two year old in a trench coat? There is nothing cuter (though not at all practical) and we decided it was worth it.

We try not to think about cost per wear for this particular purchase
I don't think babies and children should be wearing luxury goods. Personally, I don't find it cute but to each their own.

Love Burberry as they complimentary rewax the gabardine cotton every five years to ensure it remains water resistant. other look alike brands just don’t offer that kind of service. Burberry trench is for life and generations to come handed down. They’re made incredibly well.

I love to wear mine! So they are worth it in my opinion. Give such a classy look! I have two. One is a black Kensington coat which I snagged at an outlet store at such a great deal! Outlet stores these days do not have such coats and those prices any more. The second one is a red one which is a rain coat and in nylon. It is very noisy but looks chic. I layer it and even wear it during winter!

I have one in more of a classic style but not bought recently at all, I think it's massively overpriced now and if I were to buy another one it would probably be from a lesser known brand with the same level of quality... That said, it's my favourite spring/autumn coat but it's more because the colour (beige) is so versatile more than anything else

Thanks for the insight! I’ve been leaning towards the Burberry trench for a while now, so it's great to hear that it holds up well. I was a bit concerned about the water-repellent finish wearing off after dry cleaning, but your advice makes sense about only doing it when necessary. I think I’ll go with the size 2 for comfort and look into tailoring the bottom half so it fits better. Appreciate your help!
