I think Louis Vuitton has become uncomfortably common. When everyone you see out in public is carrying the same bag, it’s very Stepford. I bought an Emilie wallet in noir empriente a couple of weeks ago and That will be it as far as my Louis Vuitton collection goes. I pride myself on being unique and unique is not carrying the same bag as everyone else. It’s not exhausting, it’s just having your own personal taste and style and not wanting to conform to the taste of the masses.
Amen!

The tacky one is not the monogram , the tacky one is the person who carries it. Nothing can help you if you a show off person or if you have a dated style or if you are tasteless.

Yes some brands or patterns can make you above of these by themselves but monogram or Louis Vuitton brand are not from these brands/ patterns. At least for now!

It's amazing how often I see Michael Kors' handbags with the logo in my city now. More so than LV these days. But I still love and use my LV proudly, regardless of what other people think.
Yea, if you love it, proudly wear it. You have spent so much money on it so its only you to judge yourself. Dont care what people think. And that confidence is sexy!

I guess I haven't experienced this much because with the exception of my Speedy 40 and my Keepall, I can't recall ever actually seeing anyone else carry any of the bags I have. If I wanted a Neverfull though, I'd buy one and carry it. I still don't think I would care if lots of other people also have one. It's kind of like cars -- something that a lot of people are passionate about but which doesn't interest me very much other than I like my car because it takes me from A to B. Just about every other car I see is a BMW, and I'm sure anyone can buy (or lease) a BMW. I wonder if car enthusiasts find it exhausting that everyone has the same car as they do.
That's why I love my Mini Cooper. You never see them. It's so rare, so when I do see one, I turn and wave to the driver.

See I couldn't stand that. I'd hate to feel like I needed to wave back just because I had the same bag/car/whatever else people feel the need to do this with.

We have a dog (well we have 7 dogs but they don't all go out at the same time) and if ever we are somewhere that someone has the same breed they seem to think we should be friends. I'm never nasty about it always respond pleasantly but wouldn't cross my mind to wave at someone with the same dog let alone bowl up to them as some do. Same goes for my car or any other object.
