Is Longchamp Le Pliage worth the money?

I have one large long handle tote and I love it. It holds a ton of stuff (and doesn't look stupid even if it's not full) and is perfect when you suddenly need a lot of toting capability. (Like when you go to the store and forget to bring enough carry bags for everything and then have to fill your purse with groceries....)

I would agree with those about the nylon and price aspect. I'm the same way when it comes to dresses, blazers, etc. I would rather not pay the same price for a synthetic material than a real one (silk, cotton, wool, leather).

Even though this thread is over a year old & I'm sure the OP probably has made their decision by now, lol This may still help others. They are definitely worth the price!

What makes it stand out from the rest:
1. Waterproof/Repellant
2. Can be folded up (Genious)
3. Very comfortable Leather handles
4. Has a zipper, and a leather tab for
versatility of closure!
5. Nylon is strong yet light weight

Ive been wanting a Longchamp le pliage bag for ages !, But im always doubting on weither i should get one or not ? cause they are quite expensive for what they are. and i swear they are made out of plastic ? i dont know if they are but i was jus wondering if the le pliage is worth the money really ? can you guys tell me what you think please !xx
Totally worth the money. They last ages and you can carry tons. I have used and abused mine over the years. Grocery shopping, laundry, travel, bookbag in college, name it. Some of my bags' linings are gone, kaput, but they still hang in there. I dont know what sort of stitches they use on thatc anvas but the handles are invincible:)

*waterproof
*light weight
*indestructible
*neutral look: good for school, work, traveling[/QUOTE]
I agree ! The pros have always won me over. They are durable and low on maintenance while not loosing on the classy and style quotient.

I have many Longchamp Le Pliage bags, for a reason. They are great. I use mine for every day, travel, university. I have many more expensive bags from different brands but ALWAYS find myself coming back to my Longchamp for longevity, ease of use, waterproof, and light use. I would definitely recommend them.

I'll admit, I used to think le pliage was overpriced, until my sister purchased one and I found myself borrowing it all the time and falling in love with it. I now have two large ones of my own, which I've used for work, school and travel. They are surprising sturdy and comfortable to carry.

Aren't they also made in France? I remember hearing that and being impressed since so much is being made in China nowadays - or other countries that equally barely pay their employees..it's not just China after all.

I used to think that I wouldn't spend 100+ dollar on a simple nylon bag. But since I got one from my friend, I have been carrying it almost every single day. It is easy to pair with any outfit, and it is great for school stuff...the most important part is it doesn't feel heavy AT ALL even with my laptop in it. :) I would definitely buy another one soon.

I love them actually, have one in black and it is simple enough for casual outings, yet can be elegant enough for night dinners  I am thinking to get a navy one, or maybe a large one for travelling purposes

They used to all be made in France, but now some are made in China and some other places. There's a thread about this somewhere. The consensus seems to be that the quality of the bag hasn't changed regardless of where they're made. If you order a custom bag those are all made in France, I think.
