Is Longchamp Le Pliage worth the money?

Yup. I have the Bilberry in medium. Use it everyday now since I bought it in Paris in Nov 2009. Totally worth it! Since 2009, I have purchased a Gucci and MJ and they don't get much use as the Longchamp!

So glad I found this thread, I've just purchased one of these bags and waiting for it to be delivered. I've always wondered about whether it was worth the price or not given the materials so I'm hoping that I'm not disappointed when it arrives in the next few days :smile1:

I'm disappointed to say I still wasn't that impressed with it. I can see how it can be a useful bag but I just don't think it's worth the price and as other posters have said it is a pretty common sight now.

I wonder if it depends what style and size you get? I don't know if I'd ever love a small longchamp but I adore the large size with the long handles. They are a truly wonderful work tote, for travel and rainy days. I put a purse n organizer in mine.

I have never regretted buying my Le Pliage. I've used it countless times and often put my leather bag inside it, zipped it up in a storm and it's paid for itself by protecting the expensive leather bag. It makes a great travel or shopping tote and the security of the zipper is handy. The light weight makes it versatile.

I think they are worth every penny.

In my opinion, it's not worth the money. But if you got one, you would love it. It's light on weight and easy to carry. You can put almost everything you want in it. And it's especially great for travelling. Try to find one in TJ maxx with a good price.

It's worth every penny. My Le Pliage bags are my most used more than my other designer bags. It's so light, water resistant, wipe stains off easily, easy to store -just fold it up and it doesn't take much storage space in my closet & pack it in my luggage as an extra bag in case I did too much shopping and stuff it in there. Based on the number of times I've used it every week, month and years since 2009 you pretty much paid off the bag ten fold. It's definitely a good investment and a classic ... It goes with everything !

After today's disaster I am loving my Le Pliage even more. Sitting on the bus home I reached into my bag and realised my screwtop coffee cup had leaked and spilled all over the inside of my bag. I couldn't even flip it inside out to get rid of the liquid; there was still 30 minutes left for my journey! I fished out my phone which was already half wrecked. Finally I got off but was too embarrassed to tip out my bag, its contents and the pool of coffee out in public. In fact, I still needed to pick up a few things for tea so dashed in to my local woollies touching and keeping an eye on the corner of my bag as the coffee threatened to seep through. I walked home and washed the bag inside out and voila, better than new!!

I paid over 100 € for my LP 8 years ago, it was totally worth every penny. It's really durable and I still use it, it's so pretty and practical. I got it through the web store - it's chocolate with a beige stripe down the middle and my name embroidered on it in brown. Couldn't be happier!

I would really love to get a custom one! Can you post a mod pic of yours?

Totally worth it IMO. Perfect as a rainy day bag, beach bag, travel bag etc. It's a no worry bag and yet still cute, especially if you're in to the pop of color ones. Can't wait to see the new spring colors IRL :)
