Is Longchamp Le Pliage worth the money?

Last year several of my leather bags and LV that I have not carried in at least a year, found a new home at a well know Consignment boutique here. All 10 of them sold quickly. I enjoy the Longchamp LP carefree style, and light weight.

I hope mine will sell as quickly too. Surprisingly, I don't feel sadness at all letting them go. You have me with you on the last point.

In addition to what others have said before, here are two more pros - at least in my opinion:

- Longchamp is still family-owned. I'd rather give my money to a family than to a faceless corporation, one of the reasons I don't go to Starbucks but to my local coffeeshop

- yes, you can get an all-leather purse for the same money. But how has the animal been treated that gave the leather for the bag? This is an issue for me.

I own several of the le pliage and they are so useful. I can use them for school, shopping but also for formal occasions. They are durable, but you have to consider that they don't replace "the " designer bag in ones closet. However I do recommend them as they are pretty good quality and if you get a seasonal colour they are less common than black for example.

Very well said and absolutely true.

I have just listed all my other bags for sale today and quite content to be with LC. :)

I lived in Singapore for about a year and a half, and I bought my first LC and Marc Jacobs bag from there :P

Happy for you that you have finally decided that your LCs are the only bags you need! For a time I thought about it, but I love my other bags too, not ready to part with them, ha ha!

I hoped you enjoyed singapore when you lived here. I love my other bags too but I will like mine to be used rather than lying in the closet. It Is ok not to part with them, so long as we love them.

The other bags had been sitting in my closet for a long time ever since I discovered LC and I really feel sad about neglecting them...

...I share the same thought. Everything else feels heavy now. 😁 I urge you to purge too, it's therapeutic!

Hmmm...I feel like I neglect my LC bags because of my other bags, lol. They get in the way!

I do manage to use nearly all my bags (at least a few times a year) and probably would more often if I went into the office on a regular basis. I'm lucky to work remotely at home and yep, I still carry a bag to my office upstairs. : ).

I have few Prada, RM, too small LV and too heavy Dooney bags that I "might" re-home but my daughter and a close friend of the family always gets first dibs. I usually give one as a "bonus" Christmas gift. It's kind of a tradition..."which bag is mom gonna part with this year?" If they don't care for the Christmas bonus bag, then I sell it.

Love all the posts on this topic...it just shows us how much the LP and other LC bags are worth the money.

I think either which, you are totally fine. So long as you are happy with the bags, whether they are being used or waiting to be used. I love the fact that you can pass them to your daughter and a close friend. I think that makes it even sweeter knowing that they own something that you love. I only have a son, meaning he can't inherit my bags. But it does bring me joy to see a gentleman toting his LLH LP in gunmetal everyday when he sends his daughter to school. He is probably the first male that I had ever seen with an LP and proud of it

I never thought i would say this as i have been a diehard LV and chanel bag convert but i recently rekindled my love for LC bags! With my lifestyle change, i find that i use the mini SH for nearby errands and LLH when i go out with my toddler (i need a lot of space and a zipper and lightweightness)!!

I might even ditch my LV speedy b30 and neverfull as workbag and use the LLH instead cos its soo carefree and would fit even a jacket in it! >.<

My brother is a proud Longchamp owner. He loves his chocolate LLH LP and uses it everyday. It’s great to carry his iPads, books, and wallet worrying about getting wetter someone trying to take his things. Plus it’s super light which is great for him as he’s had trouble with hernias in the past.

Absolutely worth the price! I have five, all LLH (the Shopping version), all bought in Europe while travelling because they're much cheaper than in Canada. I bought three in three different cities as I was travelling over the summer because I feel in love with them after the first one. I just bought two more on a recent trip.

My teen daughter loves the backpack version and uses the LH Eiffel Tower tote to carry her books to/from school.
