Is it worth it to buy chanel and dior lip stick / gloss / makeup?

I bought my first Chanel product, tisse venitien eyeshadow quad. Here's my thoughts:
Two of the shadows are ok. Not any better than any other shadow.
One of the shadows, the pink one, is crap.
One of the shadows, a silver, is really pretty and unique.
The shadows seem really small. A MAC eyeshadow is like 2x the size of these. I get paying more for luxury, but other than the one shade, the product isn't anything special. The packaging is plastic and it's ok, just ok. I think I'll be returning this.

I repeatedly buy Chanel makeup because I love the brand so much but I'm often disappointed. No idea why I continue but nothing stranger than folk, I guess!
Is it worth it? Yes! Absolutely! I have a few Chanel and Dior lipsticks! The quality is amazing!!!!
I also own Dior foundation and Chanel Creme blush and love both! Well worth the price tag!

Eh, I hate fragrance in skincare and makeup. Dior and Chanel are serial offenders when it comes to fragranced products. I like Chanel and Dior lipsticks and I love Diorshow but otherwise both of these brands seem to specialise in mediocre to poor products in fancy packaging.
I love Chanel makeup products especially their blushes, lip products, and polishes. I find myself using Nars and MAC much more than Chanel. It's up to you and how you feel about the product. I would say try a few and see how it is.
Personally I don't like Chanel make up much (with the except of Chanel rouge allure laque in dragon, but that is discontinued and I smashed that to smithereens one day...). I don't know if I got a bad batch but the blushes that I got from them were not as pigmented as I'd expected, and their lipsticks are just alright for me, nothing earth shattering. Recently I've been into indie make up like meow cosmetics but that's for another thread!
I like the Dior Addict lipsticks because there is no fragrance even though I love the YSL candy balms and Oil tints. I used to like Chanel lipsticks but they were too drying for me but their lip gloss is good.
