I have tried Dior’s foundation and lip balm… Love both, but just jumped into Chanel in the last year because of my Princess of a daughter. I enjoy the powder, lip products and mascara. I am loving

I've recently bought the Rouge Dior lipstick in Promenade (434) and the Chanel Rouge Allure in A Demi-Mot (196) because I like the way they look and feel. I was not impressed with the Dior Addict Lip Glow in 038 Rose Nude as it's hard to spread on the lips, however, maybe I need to roll the bullet between my hands to warm it up... who knows.

I'm starting to find my satin and matte MAC lipsticks to be on the drying side and have put them to the side of my current rotation because of it. With MAC having already reformulated their lustres (Lustreglass) and now re-formulating their mattes (MACximal Silky Matte), I have a feeling they will do the same with their satins. If this is the case, I will have to use my four MAC lipsticks (Viva Glam I, Hug Me, Twig and Velvet Teddy) sparingly as I read on Reddit that the new formulations aren't as great. It's definitely the end of an era.

Mac keeps on changing their formulations. It is weird. And yes, they are drying!!

I decided to buy the new MACximal Silky Matte lipsticks in Velvet Teddy and Twig Twist, along with the Lustreglass lipstick in Hug Me and I have to say that I am impressed with the new formulas! The texture of the MACximal Silky Matte feels quite thin and breathable on the lips and there is minimal colour transfer. It doesn't feel as drying as the original satin and matte formulas.

I've decided that I will give my mother the original bullets for Hug Me, Twig and Velvet Teddy, along with the Chanel and Dior lipsticks. Yes, I know I have wasted so much money, but I've now finally built a mini capsule collection of lip products and did this on purpose as lip products are a massive weakness of mine.

I love my Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour in Excentrique. It is truly long lasting lipstick. However I am also a fan of Clarins !

Chanel foundation was ok, but I did not repurchase.

I like to try different brands and different formulations. I usually don't deviate much from a neutral shade because I prefer a more smokey eye look so I go lighter on the lips.

I like Tom Ford and Dior, but other less expensive brands are not necessarily inferior. I've taken photos with different lip products on, and you'd be surprised at how they turn out. Drugstore makeup is not bad either.

I've received gifts and also splurged on Chanel, Dior, and Givenchy make up and I really didn't think any of them were THAT great. I'd say Chanel and Dior have great mascaras, but nothing a highly-rated drugstore brand can't replicate. It's more so if you want to treat yourself. If you want a designer makeup brand, I vote for Armani Beauty. I've had great experience with their liquid eyeshadow, and I consistently see rave reviews about it from friends, coworkers and beauty content creators.

Any recent experiences with Victoria Beckham makeup?

Yes, I’ve used Victoria Beckham lipstick, glosses, mascara, bronzer, eye pencils and blush and have had really good results. Also use her 21:50 fragrance which is a beautiful woodsy vanilla scent. Love that her products are cruelty free! Nordstrom now carries her products.

I bought a Victoria Beckham highlighter and I'm not impressed. I'll stick with other brands.

Dior and Chanel have been making cosmetics and fragrances for the best part of a century. Their makeup is not nearly the most expensive anymore. For longtime users, one has to aware of colour/formula changes - but that's the same for all makeup brands.

Chanel has a TDF coffret that is inspired by Chanel's grand mirrored staircase at 31 Rue Cambon. It includes a wooden box, choice of a leather lipstick outer-case, their new(ish) refillable glass case and choices of 3 x 31 Le Rouge lipsticks (satin or mattes) refills. The formulas a really good.

It is expensive, but it's elevated product that is absolutely worth it.

Bumping this up to mention that yesterday, I walked around my local shopping centre looking to refresh my lipstick collection a bit as I wasn't happy with some of the lip products I own and even some that I recently purchased.

I ended up buying three MLBB lipsticks in different textures and formulas:

- Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in #62 Libre (luminous matte)
- Dior Addict Lipstick in #521 Diorelita (shine)
- YSL The Inks in #440 Rose Player (lip stain)

I had to try them all on as I find that blind buying lipsticks can be a massive gamble. When I tell you that the formulation for these high-end lipsticks made me gasp when trying each of them on, I wasn't exaggerating. They are extremely hydrating, have a slight plumping effect and hide those pesky dehydration lines on your lips.

They are otherworldly compared to the low-end (e.g. Milani, NYX, L'Oreal and Korean brands like Rom&nd and Peripera) and even mid-range lipsticks (e.g. Charlotte Tilbury and Bobbi Brown). I will also give props to Giorgio Armani, Fenty Beauty and Laura Mercier for having great lipsticks. I still think the new MACximal matte lipsticks are much better than their predecessor, which were very drying. However, the MAC lipliners and Powder Kiss lipstick is quite drying, so MAC is very much hit and miss for me.

After I got those three lipsticks, I even went and bought the much-loved Make Up For Ever Artist Color Pencil in the shade 808 Boundless Berry. I'm now thinking about getting a MUFE nude rose/MLBB shade to replace my MAC Whirl lipliner.

When I went home, I did a ruthless declutter of my lip products and feel like my collection is more rounded now.
