Is it still worth getting the Neverfull in 2020?

I find it super odd how threads like this are only ever started about the neverfull and never the speedy. I feel the speedy is just as bad (if not worse) than the neverfull given that it’s much cheaper and thus more attainable. The reality is that these styles are the cheapest LV carries and that contributes greatly to popularity. If you are looking for more ‘exclusivity’ perhaps look into a made-to-order or the leather version.

I guess its pretty much unanimous

Agree that I should get it if I like it, but it is a big purchase and I don’t want to regret it so I want to be extra sure. I don’t know why I’m hesitating, I wanted that bag forever.

Thanks for your inputs everyone!

Follow up question: I originally wanted DE, but heard that DE has issues and I’m going to get Alma BB in DE anyway. Should I get the mono NF or get the DE anyway?

It's an LL Bean Boat Tote with two extra zeroes. It is a workhorse and a classic bag for a reason. I got my first in 2008 and I have one for every mood now (apparently I have four moods).

One bag doesn't make you classy or elegant. What is especially dismaying is getting the gospel from someone with made-for-Instagram inflated lips and #jetsetbabe as her handle. School of Affluence is just YouTube garbage.

I’m in a similar situation.

I’ve always dreamt of the Neverfull bag during my university days. I gathered enough money this year and since I’m starting my Master’s soon I decided this would be a good time to get it. I had my doubts initially, but after visiting the store and seeing the bag in person I instantly fell in love and I decided to get it and don’t regret it one bit.

Ok, I guess I'm old because I didn't know what School of Affluence was. After watching her I can just sum it up to this is just the opinion of a "popular" Youtuber that admits she doesn't collect or know about handbags. The information she provides is not shocking or offensive information to me.

It is a basic shape and style and I like it. I have seen lots of high end celebrities wear the bag so Idk what she's really talking about, but the way I've seen it worn is as workhorse bag as @Four Tails mentioned.

I've never heard of her either. I watched one of her videos for 3 minutes and that's 3 minutes I'll never get back.
It's interesting how she stereotype affluent people and attempt to lay out the rules on the do's and don'ts to look 'classy' and 'elegant' with so much conviction though. The real question is, do affluent people think she's classy?

I bought the Neverfull MM in DE in November and I was also considering the Goyard St. Louis. The quality on the Goyard gets bad reviews. (Not everyone says it's bad but way more than what I'm comfortable with). I do see a lot of Neverfulls but as many have said, it's just a testament to how well made and loved they are. I feel they even get better with age. Get what makes your heart sing.

I second this head shake -- nope.

She panders to a Gen Z audience that needs guidance, but also consumes a damaging amount of social media. Their education is coming from the wrong sources.

I never thought an Atmosphere song would be so apropos, but here we go:
Y'all got me feeling hesitation, embarrassment
I might be the last generation of grandparents
I know that I've been fortunate for all the opportunities
Disproportionately disappointed in the human beings
