Is it possible to get pen marks out of Coach leather?

yes i asked and she siad she did not know why. its a redish mark but on the yellow wristlets its blue. I put it on hold, thinking i would get your opinions and see what the reg manager says tomorrow when she is in. Its a great bag... just kind of steep for a pen mark, even on sale.

I've seen pen marks on items, and I think it was from redlining them. If you're not careful, you can accidentally mark the bag/accessory. They do it so quickly because there's lots of inventory. I pointed a wallet out one day w/a red pen mark, and then the next time I went it was still out to purchase! I thought they would put it in the back..

I just went over my black Hailey very closely and found three marks (a dot, a slash about half an inch long, and one that looks like a capital M) all in the same one inch square near the strap, in red or copper magic marker type ink. I didn't notice them before because of the textured leather that shines in bright light.

I haven't left my bag unattended and no one has been near it with such a pen, so it must have come that way. It was from the Coach boutique and I doubt it could have been a return because I bought it just day or two after the Haileys were released.

I can only think in this case that they must mark the leather for some reason when cutting/stitching? But on the front? And on any other colour bag it would be very obvious.

It's my first Coach and I was so overwhelmed by the attentive service and the way they packaged it up and brought it out to me that I didn't look at it before I left the store. It wasn't the floor model, they ordered one up from "wherever". I'll know to inspect the next one!

On the upside, I've been using it for a month and never noticed, so it isn't that bad!

First off, sorry if this is in the wrong spot. :smile1:

I bought a Cobalt crossbody at the outlet with matching wallet the other day. I just got it out of the wrapping and there is a pen mark on the front of the bag. This was the last one in the store. Will the store return the bag? I never took the tags off and I still have the orignal receipt.

So, I get my new bag home today (Alex tote in FIRE!) and put my junk in it, and BF realizes there is a small pen mark on the outside.

Any idea how I can get it out?

I know it's not my pen, mine is capped and didn't even go anywhere near that part of the bag!

i just saw that bag tonight and it's really gorgeous!! man, that color is incredible!!! i'm so sorry that you have an ink mark on yours... have you called to see if they have another in stock? they had a few in the back at the outlet i went to... otherwise, there are gazillions of techniques for getting ink out of fabric... you can google "remove ink stain" or even do a search for it here in the forum and you will find loads of threads like these:

I have that same bag...I think the colour is called Flame. I'd be very careful what you use on it....some solvents can take the dye out. I bought one at the boutique so, of course, they pack it up in the back room and you don't get to see it until you take it out of the bag, which usually doesn't happen until you get home. I trusted it was brand new but when I got it home I noticed there was a stain on the outside of the bag and it looked like someone tried to get it out (possibly Tide to Go). The stained spot was slightly discoloured and there was a ring left by whatever liquid they tried to remove the stain with. I'd try to exchange it for another one if I were you.
