hairspray and a qtip dab don't rub and dont press hard, you could also use alcohol on a qtip and dab. it worked without flatening the pebbly texture on my parchment soho mini clutch wallet.

Just like monstamuffin said, I saw this on the Handbags & Purses forum & thought of this thread. Someone posted this & I know it's on the outside of your bag, this is stuff useful info, lol. Did you try anything yet? I hope the pen mark came out!! :smile1: :

Whoever suggested that Purell hand sanitizer takes off ink stains on purse interiors is brilliant. Great suggestion!! I just used it on a canvas lining and most of the ink came out - and it was a big stain! Just make sure that you keep rewetting it and blotting with a cloth. Oh yeah, make sure that it has alcohol in the sanitizer.:tup::tup:

I'm looking at bidding on a bag on ebay, and the strap has to fairly small (from what I can tell) pen marks on it. I was wondering if any of you talented ladies knew if I could possibly get it out? I could get a really good deal on this bag that seems to be in otherwise great condition! If it makes a difference, it's white leather. Thanks!

My boyfriend's sister has a beautiful red leather Coach purse and it got black marker streaks on it all over one side. I used Pampers baby wipes from Target...totally worked like a charm! It seriously looks like brand new and the leather wasn't damaged at all.

Interesting! There are a lot of great tips here! I think I'll go ahead and bid on the purse, and hopefully I'll be able to get the marks out. They are small and on the handle so it won't be THAT noticable if I don't have any luck! Thanks!

I need help ladies! I was getting my headphones out of my Heritage Stripe tote and I noticed that there is a one inch pen mark on the back on the signature part! AHHHH!:crybaby: I'm always very careful with my bags so I'm not sure how this happened. Maybe someone bumped into me?

Anyway, I'm hoping since this is the coated canvas and not delicate leather that I'll be able to get it off easily. But I don't know how :shrugs: and don't want to hurt the bag. Please offer me some suggestions! Thanks!

OMG, I'm so sorry Jeh3v! I just carried my Tattersall Pink Heritage Stripe bag today too, but I escaped the slush and snow without any incident.

I don't know what to suggest....soap & water ... or Tide2Go pen? I would not use the alcohol baby wipes as I heard that deteriorates the coating. Maybe just gentle soap & water. I would try using Clinique soap if you have any--I use that to wash the denim transfer on my khaki siggy gallery tote and it works wonders.

Good luck and I hope you can remove the ink. I think I shall take out my pen from my bag in case it wants to run.

Oh those darn pen marks! They are so hard to remove! How about gently rubbing an eraser on it? Very gently though. And I would of course test it on the bottom just in case. Good luck!
