On a related note, my friend’s parents who were on the cruise ship last week are now being quarantined/isolated at a local former airforce base for 14 days. Luckily I think they are ok so far. They said their room is nice all things considered

I understand how you feel completely. its a huge disappointment. But now that Ive been thinking more and more , at least I wont get stranded in a strange land for a longer period of time.

My friend who is going on a royal Caribbean cruise in mid April thinks hers is next to get cancelled as Viking has also cancelled until May.

I was set to leave on Sunday and not return until the following Saturday. So many things could change by then with travel restrictions so I think I made the right decision. Or maybe they don’t! Who knows. I will probably rebook for the Fall.

Since my kids will be home next week, I decided to stock up on food, especially for my constant hungry boy and his friends.... I went to Costco and Sam’s Club and it was crazy! Lots of their shelves were empty, I’ve never seen anything like that. It’s hard not to panic when you see all the empty shelves.
My son's elementary school just said they are going to be closed for the next 3 weeks.
They just got a confirmed case in our county. The news said that the person went out in public places with symptoms. He got it from another place and brought it into our county. Since they aren't saying exactly where he went there is no way to know if we crossed paths with him.
My daughter used to have a job where she worked from home but she took a temporary position in which she has to go into the office every day. It goes through the end of April. I really wish she was working from home. She is young but has health issues, including asthma.

I wonder if ours are going to make it till spring break, sofar only one elementary school has closed down.I'm not loocking foreward to a house full of stir crazy teenagers.
They closed two schools near us so they could deep clean them. No one was diagnosed but one of the kids had recently returned from Italy. It is two schools because they share a cafeteria. I think the parents forced the schools to take action.
