My DD said all her finals will be done online, not in class. So she will be coming home a week early for her spring break. Good luck moving your kids back and have fun with them at home :)

My daughter is a senior at Tulane University and she’s in shock with having to say goodbye so quickly and graduation ceremonies for now is up in the air. My son is ok with it, he’s only a sophomore. This is getting scary,

I'm sorry you have to deal with all this upheaval.:hugs: I wonder if they are doing anything to help those who don't have somewhere else to go. Do you know if the school is refunding for room and board? What do the kids think of the new arrangement? We were just discussing how it will be interesting to see how many students will prefer it and decide to do online college after this experiment.

A sudden goodbye right before graduation sounds harsh. I hope she gets to have a reunion celebration with close friends.

For both kids, the school has said they will accommodate those students who can’t get home, they would have to complete paperwork to apply for this option.

My son’s school has not said anything about refunding. My daughter’s has said they are working on what to do about refunds. Her school has also already offered to pay to cover storage fees for the next two months for those students who store their dorm stuff over the summer.

My son is only 2 hours away so it won’t be too hard to get him home but my daughter is 13 hours away so trying to figure out that trip. Agh...

Oh wow! I hope it turns out to be a good time for all of you once everyone's home. That's great the schools are making plans to make it easier to store things, and I hope you'll get refunds.

Oh that is disappointing. The same thing is happening to my friend’s daughter who is a Senior except their graduation ceremony is already cancelled.

Oh ugh. That would be sad if she couldn’t participate in her grad ceremony. So many things keep getting cancelled.

Thanks :). DD just informed me that one professor is insisting on them physically turning in their exam after doing it off site but final decision pending. That would be a real bummer to have to stay till Friday night just for one class.
