That's really sweet of your DH! I hope it is the real deal. About the color, I think you should get what you love. It it gets dirty, you clean it with a baby wipe. Off white is my go to neutral. I have way too many light color bags. It started when DS was little. I just didn't worry about getting my bag dirty. I figured I would just clean it with a wipe. I don't wear a lot of dark jeans, so that probably helped a lot. Enjoy yours when it comes in!!!
I love that you can change the oil in your truck yourself. That is awesome! :flowers:
He is the best, for sure. Lol
As for white purses or lighter ones, I'm carrying a lighter colored canvas coach right now and it seems okay. *fingers crossed* lol I'm too paranoid.
And oh yeah! I actually love working on our vehicles. I just recently helped him change a fuel pump in the truck as well and that was pesky. Lol
I remember one time I had blown a tire on my way home from work. A cop had gone up the road and came back to help but by the time he got back to me I was already tightening up the last lug. Lol he was impressed. It was funny. Men are silly. Women aren't unable to do these things.

Oh, that makes me sad because the navy is such a pretty colour. I think you would have really like it. I understand what you're saying, though. It sure seems to be popular and has already been purchased by many, even on the forum. I haven't got the impression that many people are returning, so would that mean the the ones left are still new? I'm quite inexperienced with FOS so if I'm just uttering gibberish, please jump in and correct me.

lol, I don’t know much about FOS either — I could be totally wrong about the returns. I really love the look of both the Cassie and PM but the size is too small for me for day to day. I find it to be smaller than my regular Dakotah (which is barely enough for my stuff). That divider is great for organization but for me, it makes it less flexible to put my stuff and squeeze everything in. That’s ok — I will enjoy pics of other people’s Cassies. I just wanted to be part of the Ban Island Navy Cassie Gang.

You shall be an honourary member and I’ll share my navy Cassie with you anytime! :hugs:

Beautiful!!! You are totally selling it S . This is the color I would want in a Cassie.

Love this bag!!! I’m debating pulling the trigger on the Stone Blue one. I love blue and this looks like a nice blue. Then again the pine looks good with the gunmetal, but not sure how dark it is.

 You need rolling luggage for the tp. ;)

Beautiful Cassie and decorations! I like your feather charms.

Congrats! The feather charm is perfect. Such a pretty contrast. Enjoy!

Beautiful contrast with the tangerine feather and Cassie's navy leather. I'm thinking of doing something similar with a feather, I like how you've styled yours so much.

Thanks everyone! I keep pulling her out to admire her. I liked my 10 week ban as it made this bag feel a bit special so I’m hoping I’ll go longer this time!

Okay, I think I officially have to join this group for real (even with the "it doesn't count if it's under $25 exception" :P). In the last, mmm, two weeks? I have bought from local thrift stores (taking heavy advantage of half-off coupons and sales):
+ a legacy wristlet ($2.50)
+ a soho suede swingback ($6)
+ a wooster shoulder bag ($9)
AND
+ a Lulu legacy bucket bag ($19)
All in varying degrees of need-to-be-cleaned-up-a-little condition, but what with the super helpful threads and people here I've been getting into rehab... I've already worked on the wristlet and the swingpack and started on the Lulu, so clearly I need to keep an eye out for new projects

I've made a non-Coach purchase as well, too. A beautiful Dooney & Bourke double-pocket satchel (that still needs a dunk, reshaping, and the hardware refinished but--learning! gaining experience! it was only $13 after taxes!).

I do believe I perhaps have a problem.

Haha you and me both! Who can pass up a beautiful vintage Coach from anywhere between 1-4 dollars? Definitely not me. Lol

Welcome welcome! Well at least they were inexpensive purchases. :p. But yes they do add up.

I can't pass them up when they are under $35!
I've been having that exact thought. "It's under $30/$20/$10! What's the harm?" and... then I have five items.

I have to say, I'm so appreciating you and all the other authenticators. It's really giving me the ability to learn as I go and to know what to be suspicious about/keep an eye out for, as well as giving me tools to at least try to check things out on my own.

Lol, that's how I ended up buying a black Patricia's Legacy last week - it was under $20! Plus, I can use it for our big Boston trip in August when we go sightseeing. Also ended up buying a vintage Madison Tuxedo clutch to use at the wedding we're going to in Boston - that one was a big purchase (for me) and now I really have to stick to my ban!

That's a great find! What condition was it in?

Haven't gotten the Patty yet! It should arrive on Friday. From the pictures, it looks like it has some worn edges, but no rips in the piping, so it should rehab perfectly! The Tuxedo arrive yesterday and was so clean, I only had to condition it and polish the chain. It looks basically brand new now! I'll be posting pics on the Rescue & Rehab club soon.
